^ I was debating so hard between the SS and Aluminum version. How does the SS version carry? Too heavy for EDC? I'm carrying the Alum version in my back pocket at the moment.
Weight has never bothered me with anything. I like extremely heavy, overbuilt things. Thus the reason I carry a lot of solid copper and brass stuff along with stainless. So im a little bias with this question.
That being said, I have never once said "man, I gotta get this out of my pocket, its too heavy..." As a matter of fact, I usually carry it clipped inside the button part of a polo shirt while at work. Its right on the edge of being too heavy for this since a polo obviously weights a lot less than denim but I still clip it there. You should not have any problem carrying it in the pocket of you jeans...

I have the SS embassy. It is ridiculous. I really want the copper embassy but I dont treasure pens enough to spend damn near $200 bills on one.

Got this a few weeks ago. Used it about a week. Its just not big enough for all my crap. It was treated with Obenauf's LP once. Like I said, it has a week of wear on it...
$100 shipped, Net to me via paypal. I will ship this anywhere in the conUS. If you are outside of the US we can discuss shipping. thanks!

Selling..., the hinderer is just a beast knife...
Moving towards fixed blades now, folders don't really serve a purpose in my EDC now.
I shed a tear...
Flashpoint?

No skinny jeans for you guys! Shit..
How do the guns you guys CC compare in size with a Glock 17?
the 17 is Glocks full size 9. I dont know why you would CC it over a 19 like 35 said. the ONLY argument I could see is the fact that the 17 has a higher mag capacity than the 19. 2 rounds higher to be exact. If you cant take care of business with 15 rounds then you need training, not a gun with higher mag capacity. The odds of a normal person (I.E. non drug dealing gang banger) needing to engage more than 1 or 2 threads is highly unlikely IMO.

Appendix or strong side? And it's been a while since I've handled one but isn't a rather large gun to begin with?
*waits for thread to be renamed MikeS and 35percent holster discussion thread.*
Like I said, im always testing stuff. I have a few different designs for AITW carry, canted, uncanted, AOTW, Strong side, I have made and tested (and continue to test) just about every rig you can think of.
Yes, the Fiveseven is pretty big. But a lot of people CC it actually.

Where/what are you carrying?
I do a LOT of testing on different designs so every day is something new. Unfortunately I have to carry ITW with kydex sometimes for testing purposes. all with the fiveseven platform.

What holster are you wearing? I guess i'm lucky in the fact that all my stuff is modified, and is actually quite comfortable considering I'm carrying a gun in my pants.
I have my own kydex "company". But the majority of the poeple I talk to including myself really find kydex uncomfortable ITW. Leather is SOO much nicer for ITW.
has a little to do with anatomy though. Shit, if its working for you, rock with it.

And carrying concealed is a bit of a pain,
I know you didnt mean this literally but have you ever carried in leather ITW? Kydex ITW is literally a pain...

Another vote for TAD Gear. I have the EDC pack from a few seasons back - superb quality, can handle anything I throw at it (or in it).
Funny - my wife flew into a rage when she saw the price - must be a mom and spouse thing
I was blessed with an amazing wife so I get no strife there. I came home and told her about the bag and she was like "cool!", 3 days later i came home with a new receipt for a shotgun (illinois has a 1 day wait on long guns and a 3 day wait on handguns) and shes like "sweet!" then the next day I went to pick up such said shotgun and walked out with a shotgun and a receipt for a 1200 dollar hand gun. She just giggled. I dont know if that means "im fucking someone while your out" or if she just really dosnt care that I have a problem...
Now when my mom comes over... Hide all the cool shit.

EDIT: brought up thought of $300 backpack with mother, rage ensued.
My mom literally wooped my ass when she found out what my litespeed cost and im 24 and married with a family. its just a mom thing...
It is defiantly big enough for school. Right now I have 2 changes of clothes, a full set of tools/survival gadgetry, a pouch with 3 different kinds of batteries, a full first aid kid with copious amounts of drugs, advanced airway stuff, etc, a gun cleaning kit, a few boxes of ammo and a pelican 1170 with a gun in it.
If you are really considering the litespeed as an option I can do a bag dump for you so you can get an idea of the size.

I wanted to post this here before I officially put it for sale on all the forums (EDCF, etc)
I got a 4Sevens quark 123 2 (2 CR123s) S2 edition (200 lumens) that has been Cerakoted coyote Tan and not used since. It was originally my backup light so it was never used. still has the original 4sevens CRs that came with it.
Again, figured I would throw it up here first since I know there is a lot of 47s love. Ill give it 3 days before I hit the other forums.
Looking for $55 plus shipping.
Now back to your regular scheduled programming.

Anyone using any good backpacks they want to recommend? Highly considering the Goruck GR1. Selling some stuff on ebay and want to treat myself to something. I like the laptop/hydration pocket the most. I dont carry my laptop to class because of how it offsets balance in the main compartment. The only thing I'm worried about is lack of external pockets. Im a huge pocket person. My current bag has 4 outer pockets, each which I've fit to roles perfectly. The Goruck has 1 large outer pocket and thats it.
I also looked at the 5.11 Rush 12, which is fairly nice. I like the compression straps and the admin pocket. I dont like the overabundance of molle straps though and as a school bag the hydration pouch is useless to me as I wouldnt need a hydration pack and I think its probably too small for a laptop.
Wish I could just fabricate my own pack >_>
I love EVERYTHING about my TAD litespeed. I have the pockets set up on the outside for exactly what I need. but in order to get that modularity you need molle straps, which you dont want. .02

I know I have been chatting with a few people via email about these carabiners that I made. They are almost ready to sell. This is one of the Copper Tellurium ones that I snagged for myself straight off the mill. No deburring, no polishing, no finishing, nothing. I love the way beat up copper looks...
(Sorry, Cellphone pic...)
