  1. What I have here is a VERY lightly used Long wallet by Corter. I puchased this from Corter late last summer. The company that employs me was not too cool with the leather rein and I hated wearing this without one. It got maybe 30 days of wear then it was put in my closet. It has (1) light coat of mink oil that was applied when I got it. This will hold up to 16 CARDS!!! and has 2 slots for bills/etc. Looking for $65 Shipped in the US.

I have 7 different conchos that you can choose. I will also sell the conchos for 5 dollars extra if you want extras to switch them up.

This picture is the most accurate to the color. its very light.

  2. SuFu, I REALLY need your help on some samies.

I have a unique situation. MMA and weight training keeps my quads pretty big. There has never been a skinny cut jean that has ever fit my legs. My true waist is a 34-35 but I usually have to get a 38 to have any chance of them fitting my legs.

I took a chance about 5 months ago with a used pair of 710s in size 38. They soon became my absolute most favorate pair of jeans when it comes to fit. Big in the waist but felt amazing everywhere. This leads me to my next decision.

thighs in the 710, 38w should be about 13 inches (mine have stretched.)

I want a pair of s0520XXs. The nice thing about those is I can get a smaller waist, 36, and the thighs say 14.25 inches. So Im going down 2 sizes in the waist but gaining and inch and a quarter in the thighs. Which is what I need.

So how is the rest of the overall fit of the s0520xx's compared to the 710s? Again, I LOVE my 710s but the thighs of the 710s in a size 36w would NEVER fit me.

Opinions on the 520 cut? Any input at all would really help me! thanks in advance.

  3. So does anyone own that leather broncho jacket with the stars down the sleeve? I want that sooo bad. self edge should have lay away for us poor folks. I could have it payed off by winter '10

  4. Stacks, I agree they look like they have more ware in the picture. I honestly can say I wore these 4 times, Indoors, for a few hours at a time. I kept trying to convince myself they fit good but they are huge on me. Thanks for the reply!

  5. Up For sale today is my lightly used IH 634SR's. These have had 1 hot soak and approx 4 wears for just a few hours each. These still look un-used... Let me know if you need more pics. Im no photographer.

    The initial Contact:

I contacted James @ Obbie Good Via email about a wallet that he had listed on the site. Basically I wanted his "Burg Vintage Brown Short Wallet" Done in a veg tanned version. being in Sales its not too professional to have my long wallet and reign on most of the time. So this short style wallet would just hold petty cash, ID, and 1 credit card while at work. James emailed me back in less then 24 Hours saying he would love to do it. He told me that I didn't have to put any money down and that he would do it on faith that I would pay him when He was finishes so that he could show me the end product and make sure I liked it. This was great! Being that I have had a good deal of custom work done from Corter to hollows not to mention a few local shops, I figured there was going to be a few week lead time on this. To my surprise, 4 days after my initial contact he emailed me with completed pictures of the wallet. I was pretty shocked to say the least. Not to mention, this was right towards the middle of December. So I sent James the paypal after reviewing all the pictures he sent me of the finished product. Over this period of a week or so we exchanged 2 dozen emails. Just chatting about leather, forums, Etc. James was very nice and responded to all messages extremely fast. So far this was too good to be true. In my experience with custom shops, as soon as the design is set and they have your money, the communication stops. Nothing pisses me off more then once a company has my money they stop communicating and this happens all to often. Not with Obbie though...

    The unboxing:

So a Week goes by right in the middle of Christmas and New years. My wallet comes in a nice padded envelope. I open it up to find a nice thick wallet. I examine it closely and look at all seams, stitching, construction, you name it. I cant Find a flaw on this. Everything is solid and is PERFECT for what I need this for. Due to my horrible Photography skills im going to steal the pictures that James too and sent to me before he mailed it.

This is the rating that I would give this wallet based on a scale from 1 to 5, 5 being the highest.

    Craftsmanship: 4.5

    Material Quality: 5

    Quality for the price: 6

    Communication from Company: 5

    Summery:

I will DEFINITELY be doing more business with James in the VERY near future. There is nothing about this company that I don't love. if you HAVE to have a Moon in your pocket I understand. But I would much rather snag something made by James and have another $200+ to put in the wallet for the difference...

If anyone has any more questions feel free to ask.

  7. MikeS, what's the thickness on that leather? Looks good.

    Till

Just a snatch hair under a quarter inch thick. less then a 16th under...

When I set out to find this leather I wanted something that would rival the Japanese belts. Im Pretty sure I found it...

  8. Just started sourcing out some Tanners to make me some THICK leather. here are the first 2 I have made plus my old belt. All solid brass hardware...

  9. here's a belt I just made. My first ever leather project. i'm quite proud of it. 5mm thick leather.

Simple yet effective. should easily outlive me!!

Very Nice Job!! Where did you get that belt keeper(metal loop?) I could use some of those for my old belts!

  10. So Im looking to buy my first pair of Red Wings from a a dealer. I basicly want a style like the 3 im going to link with the ridge on the toe (im sure there is a technical term for this). My question is the 3 shoes I have picked out all look identical. I mean there are VERY, VERY minute differences but the prices are all different. Aside from the look, They DO have different specs. 2 are goodyear welts, on is a Norweigan Welt, and then 3 different leather types. What the hell is the difference between these?

As I said, I want something in the style that im providing that will last me forever. I love the way some of the guys on heres RWs look that are super old.

So can anyone give me any insight on the different leathers and welt types? thanks in advance.

Edit, I guess it would help if I linked the shoes i mentioned...

But im no photographer. Let me know if you need any more pics. But we all know the classic silhouette of the 634s...

Original box that the Jeans were shipped in, as they have been stored.
