  1. Anyone have any recommendations for waterproof socks and glove liners for cheap? I would like something that will keep my hands and feet dry over being warm but if It can do both that would be awesome.

  2. Just wanted to mention to anyone that has the 40bsp, these things show a lot of character after their first wash. I think these might be a pair of jeans that might look much better with more frequent washes. Will try to post some decent pics when I have the time

  3. Just a heads up that I am not out of the contest but I have been extremely busy due to some unexpected family problems since basically the start of this contest. This is my second update since starting the contest and this picture of the jeans were taking at the end of March. My friends and I camped and hiked the San Jacinto trail and I decided to do it in my jeans which wasn't as bad as anyone would think. These are the 3sixteen+ 40bsp in size 30 with 2-3 soaks and no washes at almost 7 months (started at the beginning of october). I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still in the contest but will be posting less frequently

I messaged a recent contact picked up through my challenge with your question. Taylor Weldon -the designer behind the Daka series - hopefully he'll be able to provide us with the answer soon.

    [edit]
@noobedloser - The Daka textile is a custom milled solution, but from what is described it's not a particularly specialized or exclusive textile. The reasoning for the custom development mostly concerned thickness, texture, colour etc.The fabric is a TPU coated polyester, with coating on both sides. The coating negates the need for Nylon, as it makes the textile exponentially stronger, 100% waterproof, and highly chemical resistant. The development of perfecting the Daka was apparently quite the ordeal, taking over 300 prototypes to get the welding just right!

Huge props to Taylor for the commitment in the design and development of this product! I myself carry a variety of Daka pouches and love every inch of each of them!

I was unable to secure the exact supplier details, but I suspect this textile comes from a Taiwanese source (possibly Tomlong, or Cotec).

Hope this answers your question. :)[/edit]

Dudeeee thanks for doing this for me, really appreciate it! I wish there was a way to source the fabric somehow though.

PS: Love all the shizz you made in your 30 day challenge!

To be fair, the photos thread also contains posts that don't have photos. Just having one thread would have been easier...

Yeah, I'm so confused as to what should belong where... is the photo thread suppose to be photos only?

Any recommendations for insulated or water resistant baseball caps?  Goretex, wax-cotton, polartech etc.  Kinda want one for light rain and one for when it gets cold. I might just cop the 1k Corp wax-cotton cap thats out now.

Also, I'll write up a longer review later but after trying basically everything out there (Outlier StDs, SDs, FWs, 60/30, OGs, Wester Rise, Onu) the Mission Workshop Mission Jeans are the best tech-ish pants out there.  Def need tailoring to actually make them slim below the knee and the "won't bag out" thing is ...not accurate but they look great and are comfortable as hell.

I would second the Loro piana storm System.

I have the Guerilla group hat and wore it in rain and held up well to my surprise.

  7. @kiya

Got a few sizing questions that I would love to get right on the first try. I own the SC 509SE and 3sixteen 30bsp, both in a size 30, and looking to buy a pair of the 3sixteen 40bsp. I am debating between either a size 30 or 31 right now.

I was wondering if I could shrink the waist on a size 31 from 32.8 > 31 in. Also I am favoring the bigger thigh meausurement over the size 31 over the 30. I'm also afraid that the 40bsp would shrink too much from the knee and below. I love how the top block (knee and above) on my 30bsp but it's too baggy for me from the knee to the leg opening.

    Thanks for your help!
