What cuts you going for crash test I want a loose cut I feel comfortable in
I'm not wearing much denim these days to be honest as I'm more comfortable in other fabrics. Especially when working from home for almost a year now thanks to the pandemic. I'll always have a couple of decent pairs of Evis or Evisu though, of course!
But from the current models, 2001 and 2004 will be as good as it gets. Some of the vintage Evis cuts are looser than the old 2501/2001 cut though. Both of the Evis Cowboy Lee reproduction models, Lot 2101 and Lot2111, are very loose fits.
But you'll never get a proper loose fit with any denim that weighs around 10oz and upwards, even with repeated washing. You'll get a baggy fit but not a loose fit which to me implies mobility of the fabric when moving around.

Wait!? The no 1s shrank 6 inches!?
Any word on the 18oz peteros those are the ones I just ordered and am waiting to arrive.

No.1 denim has the nicer hand to it, I love its hairiness when soaked and washed. But, pretty much every single vintage pair I've seen with the best fades have been made of No.2 denim. No idea why and it might just be one massive coincidence.

They'd already been soaked by the time I picked them up so I went by the shrunk measurements so no surprises there for me, ha. I'm just more about the loose fits these days and the 2000t cut isn't the one for me. Or my arse lmao.

Is it no1 or no2 cheers lee
No.1, you can just about see it on the patch if you zoom in. You'd be fucked if you got that much shrinkage from a pair of No.2 denim but anything is possible these days with Evisu...
Hem is 7", inseam 31" and waist 34".

Two things. One... Where can we see the earliest pieces that he made and how to spot them?
Secondly there was a foreigner here that told a story about him getting hired to work in one of his stores by him if I remember correctly. I believe that was like in the 90s or early 00s. How did that come about?
I've been trying to catch Yamane at the ebisu store as it's walking distance but always seem to miss him haha
Ethandesu was the profile name of the bloke who you seek. He's the same name on Instagram if you're on there. Long time, stranger, by the way!
@japanalogueI'd love to see which of the early Evis repro models Yamane still has in his collection. With pics, of course! Cheers for asking, by the way.

Alright stranger!
And trimming down the collection, I've been meaning to share my denim on here for a while. Currently wearing No.1 Lot 2000T and No.2 Lot 2504 Evis, with a pair of Lazy S and Brown Box in the wings!
Im wearing fatigues and other trousers quite a bit these days so the denim isn't getting the wear it used to. I tend to go in cycles with things though...

I've got a few pairs of Evisu and a pair of deadstock Evis on ebay at the moment - same username. If anyone is interested in anything then drop me a line on here to arrange something.
Happy New Year!

They look good mate from what I can see. I would go TTS on these, they will shrink a little bit then stretch out.
I have a new pair incoming from Japan, will post pics when they land. Been wearing the Brown Box jeans a lot recently and have a headstock pair of Lazy S Lot 0005 denims waiting in the wings.

Are these the real deal?

Might be worth asking for a pic of the selvage of the second pair mate. I've seen a few pairs with that back pocket design that were made of No.3 denim which is (was?) non-selvage for the MiJ stuff.

Basically Ive been wearing these No.1's for the last 7-8 months and some slimmer cuts in other brands on weekends. Now that these need repairs not sure what my next pair will be. I started breaking in my Lazy S's but they're super loose and have been leaning towards slimmer cuts in the last couple of years. I might start giving those a good wear.
I posted this up awhile ago, its my current collection. Havent sold any. Now that Ive thought about it, will probably go the Lazy S's.
Quaiity stuff mate. I need to get a pair of 2101s again one day.

Yeah interesting coin pocket. The fit really suits you Ben, hopefully the upper area stretches out for comfort. Now im wishing I tried on a pair of the mizuhiki's a size up but still think I would have gone the 2000's.
Just washed my No1's again. Have a crotch blowout so at some point will take them and a few others in for repairs.Cheers bud, I'm enjoying wearing them.
What else are you wearing these days? You still got much of your old collection?

I tried on a pair of TTS 2000T at Evisu the Tokyo while is was there but just wasnt into the fit. Waist seemed ok but everything else was super tight. Anyone looking to get a pair, I'd also recommend sizing up.
Yeah I was gonna do a comparison of my size 35 No.1 2000s to the 33 2000Ts but then realised it was pointless as I wore the 2000s when soaking to keep them stretched and didn't soak the new pair at all.
Still loving the fit though. And didn't realise how much my 2000s had faded until I put them side by side. Note the slanted coin pocket on the new pair.

Yeah same what I did , they do look like a really nice fabric and the cut is obviously a modern one please keep us updated on the evo!!
Also did customs sting you?
The denim is lovely, sanforized and 15oz so not the usual No.2 denim. And no customs involvement

Did you go tts or up one? These are the MOMO with similar measurements went up one for comfort of waist
I went one size up but only because I needed the extra space in the thighs. I think going TTS would have been too tight across the whole top block for me.

I think this is the first time I've seen a full-leg gull with some wear and...I...I like it a lot? Hm.
Yeah, I don't think they look as bad when worn as you might expect. I've got another pair with the big daicock on that I posted a few months ago but will get some fresh pics soon.
Lot 2001 in No.1 denim below. Had them tapered on the selvage side as you can see, as I like the top block but the leg opening is too much for me at the moment. Can always get them put back to how they were before by doing it this way.

Thanks! Yeah i saw the inseam, its actually a perfect length for me. Just wish it was hemmed with a chainstitch.
You can always get it chain stitched at the same length. I've done that before.

0001 fit I think, and yeah they were a kind of nod to Levi's. Check the inseam length though because they have been hemmed.

Cheers for the link, I could feel my money itching to be spent just watching that!
Some pics below of a few things I've picked up recently.
There's a pair of Lot 1999 in No.0 denim; a pair of Lot 2534 double knee pants in non selvage denim, which I don't think we've seen on this thread before (the selvage Evis model is Lot 2513) ; a pair of Evis work pants that someone has dyed with kakishibu; and a smart Evis duffle bag that's one of the coolest bags I own!
