I'm thinking the OP meant Hells Bells (April 77-ish denim company), not Hellz Bellz (girly streetwear). Just sayin.
Haha, someone must feel like a fucking retard right now.

I think japanese denim is a "trend" as much as japanese electronics are. The cuts may change, but as long as they keep pumping out high quality product I don't see why people would stop buying?
That said, I don't think I could ever settle on just 1 pair of jeans for the rest of my life. No matter what I picked, I'd get bored eventually and want to move on.
Guess I'm not marriage material.

hi anyone knows will there be a 2008 S510XX-AI-N coming out ?
and by the way is there anyone willing to let go a size 30 2007 edition that is unworn .
For what it's worth, when I picked up the last sz29 from BiG a month ago Gordon said they weren't remaking them.

does anyone else have a fly bulge problem with this particular jeans ?
my pair have a seriously bulged fly area.. not a look that i'm really after
I do have the exact same problem when I slouch mine. If I pull the front up the bulge disappears but these jeans be made for slouching.
At first I assumed it would fix itself as the denim softened but after 4.5 months it still hasn't gone away. That being said, I haven't washed yet so maybe that will do the trick.

yeah I don't know why I assumed you didn't go through every page of this thread like I did, haha.
I do wish that someone would post pics of serious fading, but maybe it just hasn't happened for anyone yet.
Good things come to those who wait, I suppose.

pretty sure he mixed up sam's with stukovx's. There's a year of wear difference between the 2 though.

Looks good, but why did you hot soak them so early?

Hey all, longtime lurker recent registrant.
Despite picking up a pair of SExFH in black, I'm seeing these SExIs to completion. Started Feb 1 2008 and have worn all day every day since. No washes, caught in the rain once. They have stretched out significantly, especially in the waist (at least 2 inches I'd estimate). Also, knee bagging like a motherfucker. Size 33 unhemmed. I'm 6'3 175lbs and will take this opportunity to thank Kiya for making stackable jeans for tall people (now make your next collabo 42" please!) Here's what I got so far:
You can see a few scuff marks on the fly and left knee from falling once when longboarding. No repairs needed yet, all the stitching looks to be holding up extremely well. No plans on washing anytime soon. Will update again at 6 months.
Oh yeah, and that is an iphone in my pocket, but I am happy to see you.

New developments in the Levi's vs Japanese repros story
in superdenim
Posted
I'm not defending Levi's general business practices but let's face it, arcs and tabs was kind of their thing. If you made a product and then found out people in japan were essentially ripping it off and successfully selling these ripoffs for way more than you charge what would you do?
v I mean, we don't have to talk about it, but it is that simple unless you have an interest in getting repros with tabs and arcs. Intellectual property is something you either believe in or not, but since much of the world does recognize it you can surely understand why Levis is doing what they are doing.
