Lol. Those used to be mine. Kind of weird.
They're from July 2006.
Jesus, so almost 3 years old then! The only thing I find weird about it is that my honeycombs line up perfectly with the corresponding fades, what are the odds
Let me ask you this, though: what the hell did you keep in your front pockets? I've been trying to figure it out for the past year! I thought maybe a bic lighter in the front left but totally stumped as to the front right.

Goddamn those are sick!
Makes me wanna wear mine but I never got past the crotch bulge

Anyone going to see Pretty Lights at Georgia Theater in Athens on 27th?
It's gonna be dope.

what he said, great fit but I might fix the left stacks.
Shit'll buff out on it's own probably.

Those are his diormurais, samurai's professionally tapered down to look like 19cms.
Notice the red tab and back pocket stitching.
Also jamesmington - thanks but unfortunately I can't take full credit for dedication, sbbjm already brought them much of the way before he sold them, so I'm not really bored of them yet!

i wouldn't wear them too long without a wash. washing vitalizes the denim and makes it last longer. no washing for 6+ months hurts the denim, which can cause praecox crotch blowouts.
cheers
I appreciate the advice but I think crotch blowouts have a great deal more to do with sagging / lifestyle (i.e. biking) than not washing. Washing, by my understanding, tightens the weave and that helps maintain the structural integrity of the denim, but if you aren't punishing the crotch I don't think it's a big deal. There are dozens of amazing jeans on this forum that haven't had their first wash until the 1year+ mark and haven't needed crotch repairs; I have never personally experienced a crotch blowout.
If I'm wrong, well then I guess my jeans will have more character.

Thanks salaami, the S510XX AI-N have really made me appreciate denim more as a whole.
I'll admit it was somewhat frustrating at first seeing people pull out high contrast fades on their jeans after 6 months when mine could have been ironed out and probably resold as brand new, but now I'm glad they're so stubborn. Natural Indigo at it's darkest is really something special. Frankly, I don't think these will ever get washed!

Not a ton of progress on these S505XX since the last time I posted them (purchased off sbbjm a year ago to continue the magic), but had to wash em cause they smelled like a bonfire. The back right pocket, however, did go nuts and I feel compelled to share. I think these are now somewhere in the 2, 2 1/2 year range. No color adjustments, in the SHADE:
<- This one looks ridiculous full size, I wish I could find a host that would take a 2.7meg image.

OK, so I got a little penance to do for bickering in the "you know you're addicted" thread. Here's some shots of my S510XX AI-N's that I've been wearing. I dedicate this post to Selaviso; one love, group hug.
Purchased last August, 1 initial soak 0 washes. No color adjustments.
The pencil case came with the jeans, but will eventually be cannibalized for repairs. For now, it's a nice way to see how things are progressing. Someday, I'm gonna do a tab transplant, too.
Platinum threads, gold buttons, etc.
Backpockets - I started flipping my redmoon so the little metal indian doesn't bust out too quickly; I think in a couple of months this will look pretty cool, like the 2-side of a die.

you know you are addicted when you have to deal with douchebags on superfuture.
ain't that the truth.

depends on the cut and your legs, I'd say. I remember some guy on here who sized down 4 but if I'm not mistaken they fit him fine in the legs from the getgo, he just had to sleep in them for a month+ to stretch the waist 3 inches.
Probably won't work unless you have some weird leg proportions, though.

Hidden arcs, will you ever stop amazing me?
So subtle, yet so awesome.

i dislike the use of the word "hella" almost as much as I dislike those back pockets, BUT
I do think the jeans have an awesome hue and it's crazy how close and parallel your lap folds are.

Coniferous, did you adjust the contrast at all? If not, wow, the backs of your hems are amazing/blinding.

I don't know about too tight but probably not the most flattering cut for you. Given that you have non stick thighs like me, you might wanna try something with a bigger circumference from the knee down.

touchy, touchy!
point proven, though.
you know you're addicted when you flip out on someone for calling you a denim elitist on a forum full of aspiring denim elitists.

Don't apologize, your denim is sick! plus rep

word on the street is vx stretches a lot, I'd go 31.
but what I'd really do is hold off on another pair until I made some progress with my other 3 pairs, or alternatively sell off all 3 and just rock the Sams.

So you want someone to "fuck up" their jeans because you're bored? lol.
There are tons of people out on the street there wearing jeans that get washed every week.
It'd be such a waste of a pair of Onis to do that.
