  1. rockon99: if i were you, id get those babys hemmed. me, i wouldn't even walk into SE if i was in SF especially with a pair of nogami-san's on, but kiya might be the only one around you with a union special. rid yourself of the fulsom cuff, especially with the slip-ons.

Wait like, i shouldnt take my sams to SE? or i should be embarassed for going there w/ them cuffed like that? haha cos they werent when i went there.

Rockon99: just curious how tall are you?

    im 5'10''

  2. If you watch long way round/down, and see how many times Ewan 'lays his down' you'll see they survive pretty well. One could argue that they are designed for rough treatment. Besides, just buy what you wanna buy since it's your money.;)

from the adverts I saw they often drop it in the sand... So I reckon they wouldn't get much damaged like compared to say in the freeway or just plain concrete streets...

i have heard theyre very tough bikes. and i love that bmw (not this particular one) uses the boxer engine. i currently drive a subaru.. boxer power!

  3. thats gonna be your first bike? wow.
well.. he did say "not so near" future... haha could be quite a while away
    yah...

i wouldnt buy a bike like that just so i can lay it down..

If that would be his first bike. Im very affraid for the bike. It's gonna get so banged up like a $20 back alley crack hoe.

    Rockon99,

not to challenge your likes or whatever but if I were you, Id first learn the ropes of bikes by familiarizing one's self to something like a 400cc bike.... then when you think you're ready. Go crazy on them 1000+cc bikes...

i wouldnt buy a bike like that just so i can lay it down..

  4. theres been like 3 people from singapore saying that it took their order a super long time to process.. Im not sure though. just observing

  5. This question is in regard to the first machine wash in an odd situation.

I've been wearing these Thin Finn's religiously for almost 15 months. The crotch had blown out in a major way around 4 months ago, which was a combination of nelglect on my part, riding a bicycle daily, and wrestling with some pretty playful hound dogs. I had them patched at a place that was recommended, and the job was done with poor quality. It was only 6 dollars, but you get what you pay for. Anyway, the patch itself has blown out--again, in a major way.

My question (finally): Should I have the jeans patched before my first wash, or should I wash them first? I am worried that if I have them patched, the jeans will shrink disproportionately to the patch and result in a funky fit more funky than before. On the other hand, if I do not have them patched, will the machine wash progress the already large hole? I am worried as to how it will affect that area.

Some pictures of the hole follow. Again, about 15 months. No machine washes, no formal soaks. Just rain and being homeless, traveling, hopping trains, camping, etc.

    BEHOLD THE GAPING MAW
