Those. Are. Insane.

This jacket has been with me forever. I don't wear it much anymore, but it used to get a lot of wear.

Thanks, Max. I hope you get yourself a pair if you still want them. Unless you already did and I missed it....

I wouldn't mind some fit pics from Conifurious. The color in his pair is really quite something.

Thanks! All this time I've been feeling like they're just a bit too tight.
Here are a few more fit pics...

Started in May, but worn consistently, 4-5 days a week, only the past 2 months.
p.s. They appear a bit more faded in the thighs than they actually are, due to dust from a pottery class today. Otherwise pretty accurate, although they're darker in real life.

Kind-of-a-month update
Looking good, Conifurious.

Go to...

Most brands sold here are more than $200, but there's some stuff for less than that, such as... Takumi (on sale), Naked & Famous... that might be about it.

Maybe this thread will help...

approx: 3,5 months wear.. feels longer.
Looks like it's been longer, too. Really nice whiskers so far. Do you keep stuff in your front pockets, or is that from your hands?

I got confused when I read this. I don't think this town's big enough for two Bills.
Bill, you need to host them on flickr or something like that. then when you post in the thread... at the top of the message box is a little icon of a mountain.... click that and paste in the URL for your picture. hey presto0 -
You know you're addicted...
when you bother going into the "you know you're addicted" thread when you're supposed to meet your girlfriend in barely five minutes and still haven't brushed your teeth.
and +rep, cure. hahahaha

Um, no... I think "Wowwwwww" is quite enough. Those are pretty sensational.

haha! Chuck Norris. How 'bout this one of him?
(Ironically, this pic also answers my redundant question a few posts back.)

give it some more time... they'll form...
That's what I'm hoping. This past week, I put them in the washer on cold, no soap, with low agitation and a spin, then hung them up to dry. It tightened them up a bit (not that they were loose before) but I haven't noticed any fading since then (2-3 wears since) which I figured I would after giving them a wash. I love them regardless, but I just wish they would fade a bit more.
Also, I bike in them quite a bit, which I would think would help.

You should look at Blue in Green's and Self Edge's sites. As well as browse around this forum more. Check out the 'evolution' and 'how do jeans fit' threads. I would give you more recommendations, but I really haven't had a whole lot of experience with many different brands myself. So far, I've only worn apc ns's and rescues, nom de guerre non-selvage grays and pbj xx-005bk's. Really, you should just browse this forum more.

They're looking good. I'm regretting that I got the BK's instead of the indigos. I've been wearing mine probably 2-3 months and they don't have any visible whiskers like yours.

A-ha... I didn't know they did jeans. Cool. Would you say the quality's decent enough? I'm sort of interested, partly because I'm assuming they're on the cheap side.

Considering you want something tapered... probably the NC. Maybe the PS, I don't know much about it myself, though. I personally like the NS's just because my calves are pretty developed, but judging from your pics you'd probably look good in the NC.
I recommended APCs mostly because you're in Boston (as well as them being more affordable), and Boston doesn't have many Japanese brands. However, if you're getting them online, you should definitely check out stuff besides APC.

Hmm... never heard of Penguin before, but they look good. Too bad the pics aren't better *nudge nudge*

Wow! Those are pretty awesome! At first I assumed the redness was just a camera flare or something, but that is some nice fading. It sure looks like denim. I also like the logo on the watch pocket.

I recommend going to Stel's (on Newbury down the street from hynes convention center) and trying some APC's. If you're new to raw denim, that's a good starting point. I don't know what they're selling them for there, probably same as most places ($155), but at least you'll be able to try them on.

I think that's perfection in just about anyone's opinion.
