  1. Oh, my Incal reading is limited.  Does it stay good after the sewer urchin tales?

You're on to some real good shit with Glory and I Kill Giants.  For the first, well yes that's how a super heroine would have to look, right?  Joe Kelly also did some excellent Spider-Man around issues 600-610-ish.  Those issues are kind of hot right now because of the Campbell covers but worth finding because it's great.  Oddly, it was timed with some really good kids' stuff by Tobin, when everyone was starting to figure out who the web slinger really was -- subject matter which could never be explored in the flagship comics.   Speaking of Campbell covers, the early Warlord of Mars covers are worth having even though the book panned out to pure crap (imo).  Campbell has alot of sameness to his work...those covers were a stretch for him.

    my 3 years old Linda

Nice, my wife washes hers too much.  They have some nice qualities coming through though.  Thank goodness for rope dyed goods.  She took a lesson from it and is pushing her pbjs a little harder.

Great page...just want to add that all sanforized will shrink.  It's just some dumb antiquated process from when people wore hats and smoked briar pipes and all you had to do was go to college for four years and then have an awesome life.  It's really that old.  You can shrinkage so shrink them before you invest time.

  3. Beer weight would kill my fit too.  The waist is stretched to the max and has no more to give.

Ignaurus, I can't remember anything about your pockets.  Is that random or is there stitching inside to produce those fades?  They're really nice looking.

  4. more depressing than roy focker dying in macross while claudia lasalle made pineapple salad?

Roy Focker is indeed tragic.  Rarely does a guy get to pull a micronized giantess and make a baby with her, based entirely on the early seeds of completely genuine arcade-game rap.

  5. Ah, I see the cuff wear on a second look now, Aho.  Yeah, no worries there, it's gonna happen with cuffs anyway, no matter what.

The new photobucket is killing me...what the shit.  Any recommendations on good hosts?

Updates look great all around.  SLAB is just killing it!  Outstanding.

    Here are some for May

The cuff repair is cheesy but never seen.  It's the most effective thing I've tried as far as shoring up damage and holding the cuff crease well.  Other methods seem to add too much bulk of thread or fabric.  I suppose a schedule of true darning repairs would really be the way to go.

  6. they went for lame ultimate hawkeye outfit. wouldve preferred purple with mask too

Some Mockingbird action would have been cool too, but I just don't know how much one can stuff into a feature film. With comic dorks, Hollywood could probably do a high quality 5-6 hour 3-D film with all sorts of offshoot tales and an old-school intermission...and we would sit and watch intently :D Who would be a good Mockingbird anyway? January Jones would be perfect. Emma Frost pffft whatever....man you need someone like Candice Swanepoel for that kind of role, even if she's a horribly shitty actor.

  7. Go to Marla's Caribbean on Bloomington Ave. and ask for the hottest they have. Instant sweat factor.

On 38th? I will try it, I live really close. They always seem closed but I'm never there before early afternoons to grab lunch meats at Everett's.

Looking for a place who does a spicy pastor too.

Inside tip, my wife runs a Famous Dave's and her cooks do a surf-n-turf of sorts with shrimp, pulled pork, and Wilbur's Revenge. grrr that shit is good.

  8. I've been cold-soaking daily, coldest possible tap water. I don't know what will yield! Gotta do it though. There's nothing sexy or magical about stale sweat soaks after a couple days. ***well maybe there is but not in my world, not here

  9. I've had so many cancellations of projects due to clients having *no money* that I've had to pick up a union gig on production-pace wall systems.

The ooe's have been under some severely brutal conditions recently and I really have to say that these two put out some fantastic product. This is workwear. Cotton threading that fails all over the place constantly can kiss my ass, for real. Ooe is doing something right with their thread vendors.

  10. The damage is on the inside, thats why the top stitch has pulled through. You need to get this sorted ASAP.

Hm, I do have a spool of repair thread that was sent with them. It is probably time to hit up satchelbmoore for access to the BlackBlue chainstitcher.

  11. the slowing metabolism of your mid 20's can do to your waistline.

I wish I could tell you it will get better with age :D

Mysterious loose thread near the crotch, the rest of the stitching still looks intact though...

I have to give my threads a close look too. Haven't noticed anything major yet. The first damage I noticed on my other pair was dissolving thread along the hem.
