Damn, that onslaught blows the dejavoo out of the water
Is that a new design? or an old collectible? Cause I doubt Bob Lum is still able to design anything for benchmade... being dead and all..

Theyre good beaters with a secure locking mechanism, but the blade will turn black real quick since it's not stainless steel. I'd definitely recommend them tho, can't go wrong at those prices

The shipping to Canada from 4sevens is extremely fastDamn! My little Gerber light is getting an inferiority complex! Hope some of these places ship to Canada!Speaking of which, since a lot of the EDC stores don't ship internationally, you fellow canadians can let me know if there's stuff you need on websites like county comm. My gf's sister lives in the usa and proxy stuff for me every now and then. I wouldn't mind organizing a group order if enough people are in.
I know how painful it can be to look at some of these items and having no way to order them...

^^Spydeydrop is the best way to open the knife. Otherwise, due to the small size, you have to hold it between your middle and ring fingers and push with your thumb, which makes it a little bit awkward imo.
Doing the drop is much faster

Oh true, forgot you had another atwood already. I agree owning two is sort of useless as most features are the same from model to modeldefinitely a sweet tool, but i prefer to carry my mini plus xl.Speaking of which, used mine for the first time today, had to unscrew things. It works surprisingly well, the pry end is much thinner than I originally thought from the pictures.
Anyway, someone buy that metwrench! You def won't regret it

Awh man, why you got to sell it. I just got mine today as I was out of town, the thing is a beauty. If any of you dudes were looking for a MetWrench, mine's for sale. Would rather it get put to use rather than sit in my drawer. Send me a PM if you're interested. I'll try to get a pic up when I get home.+ free lanyards :]

thank god I've got some relatives in the usa. Seriously, this thread is just killing it for non-americans, most cool shit won't even ship to as close as canada

Thanks dude. The knife is the ss ladybug, much smaller than the dragonfly i believe. Bought it to put on my keychain, but ended up a lil too big for my tastes so I just put it in my pocket with a lanyard on it to make sure it doesn't slip out.@dijonnaise good shit, man. love that zippo. is that the dragonfly?Sweet knife still, good for when you want to make sure you won't get any trouble for carrying a blade.

Plenty of websites are still selling them for the same prices...eBay prices haven't jumped yet. I better get on that shit.Don't really have time to do a vid these days, so I'll do a new pocket dump for now

What do you guys think of Kershaw Ken Onion Leek Black? I want to get a simple black knife for everyday use (I'm not gonna hunt or use it for any hard core shit). Anything better for under $50?
That's a really awesome knife. Got one for my father for xmas, and I think it's one of the best value for the money around.
Feels super sturdy, no blade play, very nice coating, good grip, double opening mechanism and great, easily accessible framelock. I might do a vid later this week so i'll borrow it if i can

Can't believe the link on Atwood stayed up for so long. That was at least 30mins
oh i see. Thanks for the infosup.the 154cm is NOT the same as benchmade and others. steel names just mean that they use the same materials, but forging it is different for every batch. the heat treat can vary.
thats why when you see knives for sale the RC is always a range. like 58-60 or something.
oh and yes the wave feature is super cool, but in a panic self defense situation, it might get tricky. but it is super cool.
and no a chisel grind doesnt make the blade cheap more easily.

hi maxie but problem with emerson is that the blade is brittle and easily chipped.. i think theyre made to cut peoples meat only..
yo ed
but really? yours chipped a lot? Cause they're made with 154cm steel, same like benchmade, which I thought was OK
can a chisel grind make the blade chip more easily?

I've only heard good things about em.. thought of buying a mini cqc7 for my trekking knife this spring, was hesitating between that and a fixed nim cubit is but im not actually a knife nerd i just got it cause i thought theyre goodthe wave feature on emersons is so cool

We all cooled down on the gifts this year and concentrated on the actual celebration of christmas.
I got some jewelry, a t-shirt, a new wallet and a few edc gadgets which I'll post in the edc thread eventually. Gf gave me stuff from Agnes B and sister gave me maddox's book.. looks kinda funny
Gave a shun chef knife to my mom, a kershaw pocket knife to my dad and a gift card to my sister.

Damn, got a black kershaw leek for my father after he couldn't stop playing with my sog. Now i'm jealous

that was fast wild style. Hows the bottle opener? hehe
Speaking of Atwood, the business cards will most likely be on sale tomorrow for those interested
Atwood Business Cards will be back tomorrow according to the laser engraver. Hoping to catch the UPS guy in town in the morning or else they never get my rural route home until late in the day...0 -
Damn, how did you score one without any heads up? luck? insider's tip? haha

What do you want in your knife?
Laguioles are very elegant knives, they serve as great gentlemen's knife and are nice for collecting too. It'll definitely get people talking when you take it out
The thing that bothers me the most though is the opening system. You can't open them one-handed, and there is no closing mechanism except "apply great force to the back of the blade until you overcome the lockback", which is very impractical imo. I'm always scared of cutting my fingers, the handle being so small.
Cricket seems more of an EDC knife to me, but i guess branespload might be more helpful on this

I personally haven't handled one so I can't figure out why they sell for $500. Is there anything really special about them that can justify the pricetag?
