And in new colour (Army), model is wearing size up, a stylist had my size 48 booked for an editorial shoot

  2. Are they stocking the work jacket only in black?

Yes, and only in the washed nubuck black at that. Other stores have it in black nappa, grey nappa and army nappa. I'll update my Vincent thread with what stores have what jackets/colours/sizes once we've shot the linesheet shoot this coming week.

EDIT: Holyshit at $480 for the work jacket... Fat hustling hard!

  3. If anyone drops by a Fat store this weekend, I'd love to hear if they've got the jackets in. Fat is stocking the work jacket in black and the sea coat in navy, both in the goat nubuck with a washed finish.

The leather is a bit unique, matte texture almost like a suede, but it is a brushed top-grain leather. As it breaks in the matte finish turns to a dull shine and it turns soft and pliable.

Ideally the staff should know about them by now ;)

  4. thanks for the update JV, do the jackets run true to size?

I was wondering what jeans you guys have tried and what you rate

I'd say they do, we'll post full measurement charts for reference though!

With Dior jeans you've got the different cuts. My Super Slenders are a low-rise cut, for example. All depends on how you want your jeans to fit though... I normally go for the mid-rise though as shirts don't tuck as nicely into low-rise jeans.

  5. With any luck Fat should have it on shelves this weekend. Of course, not every retailer has every style (or leather, or colour, or size), so your mileage may vary locally...

Next Tuesday we're doing a line sheet shoot for the range and Btbam will post what leathers, colours, sizes, styles are available. There is new colours and finishes since the first photoshoot, which I'm keen to show.

  6. did you end up lining the jackets from the first collection in cupra and can you give us general price points? looking forward to seeing the jackets in person at fat, although I'm guessing they only ordered 46+ sizes like usual.

I did manage to bring the full cupro linings to the first collection, one of the reasons for the delays, but it was worth it. Price points will vary by retailer, but approximately, inc. GST $719 for the work jacket and strapped neck bomber, $879 for the double zipped biker and $979 for the sea coat. Fat ordered 46's, Btbam has some 44's and 42's in the work jacket and sea coat in some colourways. A detailed list will be available this week.

Mid-week sweet. But I'm still undecided between the 'work jacket' or 'neck strapped bomber'.

The neck strapped bomber is a more relaxed, the work jacket is cut to about belt-height, which is not for everyone, but its my go-to casual jacket, very easy to throw on over a long tee.

Amusing story, the brand was going to be 'Vincent Brothers' (url vincentbrothers.com still registered to me) until a man named Vincent Brothers killed his ex-wife, children and mother-in-law in a serial killing. He was on death row last time I checked, I think he was executed in 2008. All the top search rankings for 'Vincent Brothers' were filled with news stories and Wikipedia entries on him, so I bailed on the name =)

  7. V&V should be at Fat within the next few weeks also :)

Latest update; it'll be at retailers around the country mid-week, hopefully on shelves before the weekend.

Btbam and I will be doing a linesheet shoot this week and it'll be for sale through Never End gallery for you guys - I'm sure the availible sizes/colours/styles will be listed too. Each retailer has bought really different jackets, and a couple of models/sizes/colours are already sold out, but the sizing runs consistent through the collection, if you can't get what you want locally, try Never End.

  9. I've got a few cheap items on eBay Australia at the moment, mostly unused from my styling inventory. 80's mil surplus Commando sweater, 90's mil surplus combat boots and some Fred Perry polos - as well as some Raf on eBay USA (less cheap).

    http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=146635

The combat boots are pretty tough:

And the Commando sweater is in really good shape. The wool isn't as plush as Rick Owens merino i.e. it's a bit scratchy without a long sleeve underneath, but it is really hard wearing and the ribbing gives a close fit:

  11. shit, RO european prices have shot up too. I can't stomach paying more than ~$300 AUD for a lame basic. eh the front peen flap thing is getting played out around here anyway, I'll stick to my local and japanese labels for basics.

If you change your country to Italy (or somewhere in the EU), the price drops by 45 EUR per piece - so 135 EUR for the tanks.

But it does shit me that instead of deducting the 17.5% VAT and making it more attractive to international buyers, they jack the price and bleed us for more.

Potentially worse, they may be discounting the VAT, but are pocketing that extra margin too.
