@beautiful_FrEaK also the pair of Toys Mccoys seem to be from the same factory as the fake sugar canes. https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/auction/yahoo/input/j1189598598/ or the graph zero https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/auction/yahoo/input/n1189945765/ they all feature that rather dull selvage denim and short button flys, look at the last fit pic of the McCoy's token from DC4 btw. and compare the steep front rise of an original pair...

@Dr_Heech I stumbled upon those beautiful 1945 501's. just a link though, since I am not able to save the instagram pictures on my pc 🧐: https://www.instagram.com/p/DIpX_6vTVgT/?img_index=1

this is why I probably won't ever wear a M65 in Germany... 😂

@Lorcanyes, all LVCs with a red tab featured the R up to certain year, if I remember correctly it was around ten years ago, when they had started doing it right. and yes something is wrong with button, butt its more about the construction method of how the rivet/thorn-back part is attached to the top part, early LVC had two kind of stingers that had been plugged through the metal and had been bent holding the top, current versions hide the fixation. https://bears-tokyo.myshopify.com/products/levis-vintage-clothing-44501-0088-501xx-1944-model-501-jeans-organic-cottonのコピー

@Maynard Friedman yes indeed, it looks like they have used the same denim here and also the fit is quite close, but since my knowledge regarding LVC is much bigger than of Sugar Cane, I easily could spot is a fake, but as for the Canes, it is very well done... funny thing is, I spotted 2 pairs of them and both run around 170,-€ as my Sugar Cane pair and had been sold by three "different" vintage sellers on Vinted, all based in the same country... Vinted now offers to check if stuff you buy is legit and I wonder if this pair would have passed the service!?😄

the arcuate and the patch look pretty decent, its the red tab, that within a 40s repro shouldn't feature a trademark "R", it is the short rise and the attachment of the flashers with plastic straps rather than cotton/poly thread which proofs the are being a fake pair

try yourself first

Be aware when buying LVC via Vinted and check carefully, there have been spread a lot of fakes (including Japanese repro brands) recently which still run at 170,-€ See what's wrong? 1.... 2....

😂

and probably you wouldn't have to fear being sued by Japanese brands, wheras Levi's could demolish your whole factory...

I had been suspicious before, because legit 37s all came with "clean" rivets, while the fake one features oxidised rivets. But that's all okay, it's the denim that is nothing better than Uniqlo Denim. I also found out, legit pairs have the inside sizing label attached below cinch back rivet. Wonder if the fake uses cotton thread?

I could finally find an agreement with seller. It is already in the washing machine, hoping for the denim "opens up" a little.

@Double 0 Soul Thanks for double checking. The flasher of my pair is super glossy, which also doesn't seem right. I'm prepared now! And for sure I'm about to wear these... could be a nice summer pair hence the lighter weight.

Thank you, I know the pair you're thinking of, there is an old thread on sufu regarding this topic. Its incredible how many details they did right, every rivets, every button... Maybe it's Sugar Canes Karma being coppied. I might wear these anyways, but could have almost two pairs of Bronson...
