  1. From deep in the back of my wardrobe I found a pair of limited edition Levis red 1st jean.

These were released in pretty small numbers back in 2003 (so the label says), shortly before the whole engineered range came out. Not sure if they're europe only or if they were worldwide?

They're a 60/40 cotton/hemp mix with a lovely slubby weave. Oversized single back pocket, twisted seams. Stamped as 34 x 32.

Unworn/unwashed so as brand spanking new but without tags.

    measurements:

    waist- 34

    front rise- 13

    rear rise- 16

inner leg- bit hard to measure as they're a twisted seam, but either 29 or 31

    hem- 8.5

    knee- 9.5

    thigh- 12.25

These are going on Ebay if noone from here wants to take them off me.

  2. is there a particular reason you would think the evisu jacket is fake..?

No reason as such. I'm just not an authority on Evisu detailing and I know there are a lot of fakes around, so it's partly as a disclaimer.

Fake or real- it's still a lovely bit of denim:D.

  3. FS: LVC, Evisu.

Buying a new house so reluctantly need to sell off some bits! :(

  5. Apologies for opening this possibly dead topic.

Thinking of getting some Edwin ED-32' s raw rainbows. They say they're a 'loose' cut but they seem slimmer than ED47's- expecially in the hem.

Tried on a 30 x 32 which look pretty good, problem is they feel a bit restricting across the thighs when I sit and open my legs. 'Close your legs and stop being a tart' I hear you all say... but I ride motorbike to get in and out of town so spend alot of time with my legs open. Yeah- not a nice picture, I know!!!.

Could size up, but then the waist would be too big and also- the shop that I tried them on doesn't have 1 size bigger AND I have £100 worth of vouchers at that store which pretty much covers the cost of the jeans.

Anyway- cutting to the questions, do they A) shrink at all during a warm/hot soak and if so- do they stretch back

or B) if they don't shrink during a soak, is there a lot of give in the denim?

    Cheers lads!

  6. Now THAT is a good looking buckle/belt combo.

Can you tell me more about the buckle. Never seen one like that before. It looks vintage to me. Still available?

Ludlow quick release on a Tandy raw blank when new:

    belt2.JPG

  7. man, you scored, don't get rid of them unless they don't fit. if they don't fit sell them to me!

Got a pair of deadstock 555 '37 201's. 36x40 if i'm not mistaken (will check when I get home) Still with tags etc

Would be willing to let them go for the right offer.

  8. does LVC offer a type II jacket?

There's a type II jacket 70507XX made in Japan. I just bought it last week. I like it very much.

    http://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/hinoya-ameyoko/70507-xx17.html

The sleeves look very baggy on that, compared to the model that LVC had out a few years ago.

Got an s506 (WW2 type 1),amongst other assorted jackets still up for grabs if anyone's interested
