  1. I was planning on popping into Selfridges London after work today anyway. Will check these out. I personally think the pocket flap looks pretty good, but maybe just on one side rather than 2. Agree with everyone else- the lotus flower design is a bit OTT and that would definately put me off. On those jeans I would suggest either the same design but in a dark colour- black or navy, or a simpler outline. Quite like the selvage back loop. Would also like to see a straight fit with that detailing.

And definately need to be chainstitched, but with a variety of leg lengths

If you need someone from here to test out a donor pair for fading and general wearability i'm more than happy to offer my services :)

  2. The jeans the dude posted previously are obvious fakes. The jacket looks good, but it's hard to tell without further pics. If it's a fake, it's a good one. Some inside labels would help, as would some closeups on the hardware.

No worries. will do that shortly.

  3. Yeah- hard to say. If it is a fake, the quality of the detailing and the denim is top notch. Makes you wonder if (assuming it's fake) the fakers couldn't just produce their own brand rather than knock-offs!

  4. 1950 Swedish Army officers tunic. Deadstock condition. Really nice heavy olivey grey wool tunic. Very waisted/tailored silhouette. Really nice feature (well- I liked 'em) are the pockets at the back. Perfect winter alternative to the pea-coat. Got various pockets inside aswell- perfect for phones etc.

  6. Cream Evisu jacket. Size medium. Gorgeous cream/off white twill jacket. Sort of inbetween a 506/507 but with rivets to pleats instead of stitching. Style number is I think 1047, but the leather patch is a bit faded. No idea when this was from but i've had it for about 5 years and only worn it a couple of times.

Are the US and european collections quite different? I've had a look on the US site and they're seeling tees with some old LEVIS ad artwork. These aren't available in the UK.

  12. Hi, Got a pair of Japanese selvage Duffer jeans I bought at a sample sale some time ago.

On reflection, I think they're a bit too wide in the Knee/hem for my liking. Does anyone know if it's possible/easy for a good quality tailor to take apart the inner seam, reshape the leg slightly and put things together again in the same format it came, or would specialist equpment be needed to replicate the stitching.

    Many thanks

    Martin
