  1. Jones boy- I've got a feeling that the 101z's come in a 36 leg only. To my knowledge there's noone in London that can do chainstitching (not that i've found, anyway) so you'd ruin the hem if you chopped' em down. The lee's are a lovely denim tho'. Tried 'em on in Carnaby st myself. But if i'm not mistaken, a 60's lee wouldn't have a salvage so they're not historically correct (assuming you give a shit:) )

I think you're after the same sort of size/fit as me. Just want a decent leg length with no bunching and minimal turn-uppage.

In Levis, I would suggest going for a 34x34 or maybe risking a 34x32 and do a short warm wash.

got a similar problem- just picked up some raw 47's in a 33 x 34. They fit pretty well in the waist already in their pre-shrunk state so getting quite scared of shrinking them down and not being able to squeeze myself into them, and them still being too long.

    D'oh

Feel free to PM me with further thoughts

  2. Can someone please advise what the rise should be on a 34 waist pair of 55's. Watching a pair on ebay, but the seller's told me it measures 15" raw which seems unfeasibly massive to me.

Either he's cocked up, or these are proper high-waisters:rolleyes:

  3. Similar question... how do the 47's & 55's compare in terms of rise, thigh, knee & hem widths. Just got some Raw 47's on Ebay 33x34(R stamped on top button, so perhaps from the 05 collection? Suspect i'm gonna find these a bit on the slim & long side so am eyeing up some 55's 34x32

Anyone know if LVC publish pre & post shrink size measurements.

  4. I just received a pair of LVC 47's I won on ebay. They're a 33x34 raw. I normally buy 34's in LVCs which generally don't shrink alot in the waist and end up feeling a bit loose. Just tried them on in their raw state and the waist fits pretty snugly already so I wouldn't want it to shrink, but could happily lose 3 inches off the length.

Is there any hope of these retaining their waist width by wearing them in a warm soak, or do I have no hope and should cut my losses and pass 'em on??

  7. The jeans the dude posted previously are obvious fakes. The jacket looks good, but it's hard to tell without further pics. If it's a fake, it's a good one. Some inside labels would help, as would some closeups on the hardware.

Closeups of hardware. The label doesn't state where it was made, which seems a bit odd.

  8. Invisible, no ,didn't see your shirts,am going back to see if there is any end of sale bargains so will have a look Do you have a website?

Hello- assuming you're going to the London branch (are there others??), they had some raw PRPS's. 28 & 30 waist, so only for the skinnies. think they were 30 odd quid. last rail on the left as you come off the escalator. Also a cracking pair of Carhartt black raw round-ups- 32x 32- £45. Had to put these back as much to my annoyance i'd bought a pair in the same size on Monday from Carhartt for £75 and their returns policy is credit notes only.

Grrrr. How pissed off was I! More annoyingly- I had a £50 selfridges voucher!!

    They've got some raw '37 & '55 LVC 501's for 65 notes.

  9. Hiya,

Had a hunt around. Found only one pair of your jeans (raw, stright cut) and did ask, but they had no shirts. Pretty good looking jeans but as someone else said- if you want to sell them as fashion jeans they'll do the job, but if you want to attract the denim nerds, and keep that price I think you're going to have to go for slightly heavier denims with a bit more of a slubby grain and definately a chain stitched hem. And tone down the patterning a bit.

On the whole tho- pretty nice and wouldn't rule them out as a future purchase if you make some slight changes. would have liked to see the pair with the pocket flaps.

Wish you very good luck though.

    Martin

(PS- my offer to test a pair still stands :D )
