This thread is f'king amazing. If only someone could do a book of all these shots i'd be in heaven.

yeah. Or thereabouts. Not sure if the 55's come true to size. If I were you i'd email Cultism and ask for actual measurements.
Or perhaps someone else can advise from here?

Perhaps a pair of 1955's would be his best bet. i suggest the 66's would be a tad slim for a man of his superior years.
FYI the 66's are sanforised and do not shrink.

Currently on Ebay. Will remove the listing if anyone from here wants them.

I ride a '64 Eibar (spanish) lambretta series 2 with an SX200 block and a '66 GT vespa fitted with a 180 pollini.
Right. Back to jackets....

Not exactly a jean jacket, but...I snagged this on ebay for forty bucks:
Not bad for US made.
I like that alot. Simple yet effective. Good work fella!

Nice to see another lambretta lover on here!!

My '66 Lee's turned up just before xmas and were found under the tree (a gift from me to me).
soaked them last night and have spent my first day in them. So far am pretty pleased. The denim seems a little shiny but i'm sure that'll change with wear. The inner tag says made in Poland, plus there's no hem chainstitch. Are the ones I got a cheaper lee europe repro?

That'll be the bad boy.

The waxed fishermans cagoules are lovely (particularly in Teal), as are the pea coats. There's also a nice chunky shawl cardigan that's in-store but doesn't seem to be on the site.
I could spend a fortune in there.

I went into the shop last night and tried on the boots. They really are lovely. FYI- i'm generally a standard size 9 (43) and the size 9 boot felt a bit big. possibly half a size up so my advice would be to size down by a half (if it's not too late).
Gonna place a reserve on some 8.5's when they restock.

I have a pair of the classic slims. You do need to size down one (i'm a 33 waist and the 32's are comfortably loose but not baggy)
There's barely any shrikage or stretch so they stay as they are. Nice shaped jean!!

Thanks MikeDBT5. Jeans arrived yesterday and compared them like for like with a same size raw pair of 47's i've got stockpiled. They are virtually identical in measurements so I have high hopes for the Lee's. Hoorah.
Nemoulette- jeans look great. I always assumed the early lee's would be a much fuller cut (like the 20's 201's perhaps, with a wide hem), but when sized well they're a great fit.
May have to convert from LEVIS to lee.

IHi Mike, that'd be great. I compared the measurements listed on oi polloi and there's not a great deal of difference so i've taken the plunge. Annoyingly the site you suggested has returned their pairs as they weren't selling. So had to fork out £109. Still, that's £35 cheaper than the Lee store on Carnaby street. Can't wait to get 'em. Lovely bit of cloth!
Was told they come up big. Is that correct?

Those boots 2nd from the right are lovely. Anyone know what they are? They look similarish to the WW1 USMC boots on WW11impressions, but better!
Bit of advice needed... just bought these boots offd a popular internet auction site but i suspect they'll be a bit snug. Do you think these can these be stretched lengthways without ruining the shape of the toe?

The 66's seem to have a much higher rise than the others. Is that just a proportion thing? Thinking of getting a pair but it's just the high rise that's putting me off. I'm so used to wearing LVC 47's but i think it's time for a change.

if anyone wants a copy of the camping edition (can't remember what number it is) minus the Denim Jacket supplement, drop us a line.

...when you see a leather goods shop on Kennington lane, and are disappointed to see it sells bondage wear rather than wallets & belts...
Ha ha- got a web address for it??;)

when giving your 3 year old some medicine which gets spat out all over your jeans, you're more upset that you'll have to give them a wash than your son being ill!!
Not good!

^and on top of it all, they're little "e"! The nerve...
rocking them short is pretty steezy, though.
Does steezy mean a good or bad thing?. old bean!!

Anyone know where I can get a decent short sleeved sweat? Nothing too expensive, but with a decent slimmish fit and not too short.
