  1. ^ couldn't agree more. Thought I was gonna be raging at how the mad dogs s01 finale ending, but I actually ended up liking it quite a bit

thought they might leave a cliff hanger where they're all arrested separately or some shit

Also enjoyed Bosch, looking forward to S02 next month

Lots of new stuff in the pipe right now. Vinyl, 11.22.63, Animals.

Can't find a YouTube clip yet unfortunately but the BWOW band skit on the newest Portlandia episode had me rolling. It's Twangy, Stripped Down, and Sensual

Last Week Tonight back at it again too. Yay

Edit: completely forgot about Better Call Saul S02 beginning tonight! Vikings on Thurs too

Edit2: also really liking Billions so far

  2. Where would you find the time? There's too many good new shows. I just caught up on The Family Law (what Eddie Huang wishes Fresh Off the Boat would be)

heh good point. probably not gonna bother with the 2011 version, as the internets tells me that seasons 3 and 4 went downhill way fast

watching the Bosch pilot on Amazon right now. pretty great cast

most of the way through Mad Dogs... kinda wanting it to hurry the F up and just end it already. kinda intrigued to watch the original 2011 version more than anything actually

  4. three episodes into Amazon's Mad Dogs... didn't realize it was a remake until i was browsing IMDB. pretty wild ride so far

Animals. is pretty lackluster animation, but the voice talent will keep me watching. lots of guys from The League, and Nathan Fielder really stood out so far

  5. am i the only one who hates the Uncharted series? gameplay just isn't fun, and i'm not really into all the puzzles and shit

can confirm that PS+ freebie Helldivers is worth the download. great multiplayer action, and i love games like this were you can pick it up, play a bit, and come and go as you please

  6. Billions is alright, not great. too bad that Malin Akerman can't act her way out of a wet paper bag. will continue watching for now

Workaholics delivering another solid season so far. Never gave Idiot Sitter more than one episode, wasn't really feeling it. is Broad City still a thing?

still watching Colbert on the regular, mostly as a good show to click on after work and wind down a bit with. the relationship with the band is kinda cringe-worthy, but the jokes and guests keep me coming back

in order read. we'll give Gatsby the nod as the best of the bunch. again, surprising it's taking me this long for this story -- truly for the first time book or film. submission was a decent translation but overall pretty meh. brave new world and Fahrenheit 451 both good dystopian novels in their own regard. still not quite up there with 1984 imo, but they're all three very distinct in their settings and overall plot. bradbury's writing style in particular was very interesting.

just started City of Thieves by David Benioff, so far so good

  8. i know it was touched on briefly earlier itt -- but do any of you guys read multiple books at once?

i think it's because i'm just getting back into reading after such a long hiatus, that i'm pretty much knocking them out one-by-one currently. the sense of accomplishment almost, from finishing the novel at hand, is more fulfilling than trying to juggle multiple story lines and characters. i'd imagine though if i keep the reading habit up long enough, i'll eventually start branching out into multiple books simultaneously not unlike my TV viewing habits. and it is nice to have a little variety if a specific story becomes a drag

has also been pretty nice to bounce back and forth between actual paper and e-books. finally getting my money's worth out of this kindle at least
