Then it's a good thing that users here care more about what anonymous guys obsessed with denim that they meet online think about their jeans than what actual women who they have an opportunity to score with think.
sounds fucked-up, but true. if wearing annonymous artisanal selvedge is cockblocking me, i cant tell. usually the fact that im black, and im wearing "generic looking" denim makes me peculiar, especially when someone can see me twice a week for months, and i always have on the same pair. ive only had one girl compliment me on my jeans, and she was just making smalltalk. plus, my dreamgirl is wearing a pair of gieshas right, now. i dont know, last month, i almost had 3 different girls in 3 days...

not to be harsh, but ive never considered that soaking denim of any quality in clean water could destroy it. its better here to make seething remarks, or make a dumb comment than to not research and ask a dumb question. reflect...

damn, i was thinking of something similar. since cheep trailblazed this thing, it would be dope to have the chimp's head on there, with a cigarette...fire coming out of the monkey's head!!!and the smoke could spell out "WAREHOUSE2008"hmmmm...

I just got in a pair of S0710xx 19oz in 29. They're un-soaked and measure 30 in the waist, and already the waist and crotch are pretty tight. Does this mean they won't fit once they've shrunk or will they strech back out quickly? I'd like to stretch them to a 30.5 or so in the waist after soaking but I'm wondering if that's possible.
wear them when they are still a bit damp from the pre-soak, and do a bit of stretching and bending in them. the 19oz. fabric is real hardcore from the start, and they will feel moreso after the first soak&dry. they are woven loosely, so they stretch to form rather quickly. if worn consistently, the once aggressively stiff denim will soften considerably. "don't worry, enjoy".

i seem to find the best belts @ thift stores. i got this vintage belt that is obviously hand-made, and it has hand-painted flying horses on it. it came with a brass buckle that is so ill i take it off and wear it on all my belts. i got the whole hook up for 50 cents @ a place called "love of Jesus" thrift store in VA.

Would you not buy because of the patch?
well, im anal about details, so if the patch isnt leather, i would be less inclined to buy, even @ this incredible price. no one can convince me that if we are buying in bulk, we cant get a leather patch. paper patches are too cheap for this endeavor. my brother is one of the best graphic designers around, so we are gonna burn a little inspiration and see if we can come up with something worth voting for...

the geisha's have all the hard-core details, but the skulls are nice too. the nudies are a little too trend-hopper for me. id be much more impressed if i saw a chick in a pair of geisha's, in fact, she might be my soulmate.

here is my advice that i give to everyone...
wear them and forget about it. when you wake up in the morning put them on, and when you go to bed take them off. when they stink, wash them. if they have stretched too much, soak them. if you constantly think about the progress of the fading you will never be happy with it.
the most important thing: they are just jeans.
i concur wholeheartedly. its that simple. its so true that if you constantly look for fades, you wont be satisfied, but hopefully that will only make you rock em' harder. toothpaste is water soluble, indigo is a vat dye, which means it isn't H20 soluble. if you let the toothpaste dry, and then soak it out(with minimal if any agitation) it would dissolve and rinse away, without noticable indigo loss, if any, as these evisu should've been dyed well. welcome to the big leagues. enjoy...

i live in the inner city, and im black, which means that if your jeans arent falling off, youre "gay", but i dont let peoples bullshit bother me. ive walked past high-school kids, and heard them say gay-shit under their breath because either i have on a brand they are aloof to, or i dont wear nikes. what they also dont know is that im twice their age( im 29 and i look 18) and my hands are OFFICIAL. but the ill part is, all the dudes around my way who talk shit behind me, or who ask me if im gay ,none of them get as much pussy/head as me, nor are they fucking the girls they want to fuck, why, because they are too busy fucking me!!!Ha! and why preytell....(quote from chicks"youre not like the other dudes around here) so, young cadet, the lesson for today is:"for every insecure backed up pseudo-masculo cat who antagonizes you, 2 chicks will notice and/or appreciate your steez. dont be suprized if its his girl/sister/cousin. people seek to destroy what they dont understand. and dont be suprised if these same dudes are biting you in the near future. study well.

sams arent supposed to "fit" like other brands that finagle with various miniscule details, so that we as men can feel sexy. james dean didnt worry about it, so dont sweat it. thay arent diors, or some euro shit... enjoy, i cant wait to get mine.

wear them! how many cats have an opportunity to grace themselves with a pair of these? wear them until they fall assunder!

but people like cheep and beatle are anomolies. perhaps they will be the ones to start the trend where they live?[/
I sometimes hope it won't start a trend...since it feels really great to be the only one in a 260.000 ppl city wearing a Samurai Jeans ...
It's like pradise...lost once you've found it....
yet again, another reason to love beatle... i feel you, once people start rocking the steez, you want to evolve on some next shit...if anyone else in richmond,va has some sammies, i would love to meet you(esp. if youre a chick). beatle is the only one that can wear that FC jacket without my jealousy. she and pr800 have the best joints.

anyone know about UNIQLO'S selvage?
in superdenim
Posted
uniqlo's denim is selvage, but of inferior quality(comparable to gap's selvage, or nudies) compared to the more hard-core, artisanal labels. but its still worth 40 bucks. if jay-z is charging 80+ for garbage, these are definately worth it. i went to the flagship store in manhattan after leaving blue in green, and the employee didn't know what selvage was, nor did they have selvage denim in stock. call first, or go online. buy them raw! its an insult to the fabric to buy pre-destressed selvage. look into the small questions thread. we really need to regulate who and what can be made into a new thread, but you're new.
