  1. Well - you could still post a pic...

something told me you would say that, beatle. and ive been lusting after your jean-porn so long that i simply cannot deny your request to see one pic. so as soon as i arise in the morn, im gonna have my baby sis take the indigo smut and post it just for you. oh, beatle, have you ever heard of this anomaly?

  2. this is a perfect example of situational irony. ive been wanting to post denim-porn like beatle, and dick danger, and poly, but i didn't have constant e-access, or a camera. now that im visiting ma dukes, i have both, and i've machine-washed them(hot water, the 510's thighs are big) and high-heat @ least 4 times, and i soaked them in boiling hot water. now the patch looks like sun-dried sushi.

  3. Where exactly do they say that? I've never noticed it on mine.

it says"made in the United States" on the right top corner banner, in the same place as it says"made in osaka, japan" on all the other sams that ive seen with my own eye:confused: i would post a pic, but i always hot water wash my baby's, and dry them on the hottest heat possible. dammit, i should've been more keen off bat, and asked yuji before i left the store. i talked to him for hours that day, and asked him a hundred questions, but none about the patch...shit!

  4. yo, i've noticed that my 510 19oz.2's say "made in the United States". what's up with that? i thought all sammies were made in osaka, and these are the only ones ive seen with a US patch. are they loomed in japan, and then stiched here, or what? this is confusing. i know this is an especially noob-ass question for me to ask, but what the dilly? info is highly appreciated.

  5. I want to know why the uniform for lamers is Evisu jeans, Bape Hoodies, and Bape Stas or Dunks.

    fuck you

its been 2 years since this post, and in archaic richmond, virginia(the capital of ye olde confederacy aka slave central) this is still the case. even worse, 99percent of the evis, bape, and other fad-jumped japanese brands rocked here are straight fugazi. i cant tell you how many times ive been sneered @ by these fake snowmen cause they think they got the goods, and dont even know to flip the cuff. my former boss had a pair, and when i asked him to flip his hem, he refused, and when i bent down to grab his un-chain-stitched fakes, he jumped back like i'd reached for his crotch. bottom line, cats be frontin. word.:o. with that said, i still want a pair from the flagship store in NYC with my personal preferences. thats worth the guap...indigo arcs, bitches!trilly-trill!!!

  6. Good music (or most anything for that matter) can be found in any genre if one digs deep enough.

true, but if its wack, it aint hip-hop. rap is a pair of levi's STF's. hip hop is a pair of Oni Shoai's. overstand?

  7. ^^ Wow...you changed your mind pretty quickly.

there's nothing wrong with changing ones opinion upon the arrival of new information. just because he seems to have changed his mind after cheep's statement doesnt neccesarily mean hes a swingman( my term for one who swing's from another's sack). the most wise men change their opinions from time to time. if evisu's EXPENSIVE(relatively speaking) #1 top of the line cloth isn't superior to samurai's usual fare, it'll be a while before i go the jay-z route.

ps: FUCK jay, for not giving meth, red, or the legendary roots a video...yet he had 3 lame versions of a wack song. he didnt show me anything.

  8. "you must do likewise to get that awesome, authentic fade"...what? disinformation is that bullshit that will make me not by your product, and bash you online... i wont by corny jeans from someone who knows less about washing denim than me.

  9. I thought that at first with KMW...I assumed it was hokey and not worth looking at, but they ended up being a decent brand...I think Oni is doing it now too.

ive been wanting so bad a pair of the oni blues, but the back-pocket selvage really is a breaker for me. i loved their one-shuttle denim @BIG, but i just cant fuck w/those back pockets. dumb question, but could Noriko take it off without trace? i should've asked her earlier when we were on the phone...but i was too busy trying to plan my trip to NY to see Nogami.

  10. The waist for 5000 or 510 is the same..only the thighs are different..

It's the cut you have to think about..if you don't like loose thighs , don't get 510's ..sizing down will not change that much , but give you a too tight waistband...

i cuncur . the thighs on mine are a bit loose for my liking, but after wearing these all summer in 95 degree plus heat, these 19oz. would have rendered me sterile if they had fit like i liked. when i went to BIG it was a blizzard, and i needed to accomodate for my thermals. i just learned how to post online, so when my sams get out of the dryer ill try to have them posted by 2nite.:D

  12. 386 has my vote, fuck that. this is monumental in 2 ways: he basically treated them like regular ol' jeans(which, they are-modern jeans are mutants),he didn't care about a contrast fade. 386 is the american ryu. samurai should post these on their site. we should all put up a dollar, and make sure this man gets a pair of the d-works contest joints, just for GP. just when i want a new pair, this guy makes me feel like i just bought mine! now i dont feel crazy about sleeping in them unless im getting some.

  13. AFAIK they remove them as soon as they arrive. Because it's illegal to sell them with them intact. meaning they aren't really likely to sell them to YOU as such.

Buy from rakuten, or contact Parachutes

well, since i made the original post, i was actually talking about levi's disturbing business practices, but since it came up...as last i was made aware of, it seems that once the initial ban was put into motion by LS&co., samurai didn't seem to be too concerned, probably since there was(and STILL is) only one store here in the US that stocked them, and they cant sell but so many, since the avg. yank only spends 30bucks a pair. LS&co. turned up the heat, so now they ship them sans tabs &arcs. when i went to yuji, he had an employee take them off. fashion , as we all should be able to see, is what leads to the demise of quality in the denim industry. the arcs and tab are just a fashion item. everything on my sammies has a utilitarian function, because they are intended first to be what their ancestors were... work wear. when i get my oni blues, i will leave the tags/arcs on, but only because they dont resemble levis. im not trying to convince anyone to start a arctuate/tab banning movement, its just personal choice. but you must admit, i have a few valid points.-salaami-

  14. I don't know about that. I have no recollection of any posts that emaze has made outside of this thread, but I think that he may very well win the thing. Dick, you have some great wear going, as well. I think that the fan-boating you see going on throughout the forum has more to do with the people who post their Contest Sams very often, in multiple threads. WYWT comes to mind. The most 'popular' pairs seem to be the ones with a lot of wear and frequent pictures scattered all over the place. I think that in the end, the right person will win. I agree that giving each person one equal vote is a bit foolish. I have seen lavish praise for some horrible jeans in the evo thread. A Gordon, Kiya, Samurai rep, etc would be my ideal situation.

did someone mention kiya and gordon\yuji in the same line? i havent been around lately, but have we come to this? i should have stayed in the cut...

  15. Don't be afraid of getting them wet. I've worn my raw jeans in lots of autumn/winter rain storms and they've been completely soake in rain several times. It doesn't affect the fading at all, actually I think it makes them wear in a bit faster.

i needed a good wash, but i was avoided it, but then i walked to the barber shop, and on the way back i got soaked. so i said fuck it, and i took my sams off, hung them up on the clothing line, and let them rinse out in the rain for a day, and dry naturally...they were completely ruined, and the acid rain here in VA made some kind of pseudo vertical fading---sike, noobs they are just fine, they responded like a regular wash, cleaner, a bit more faded(in wear spots), and better fitting. as usual. if simple water exposure will ruin your jeans, youre not wearing a sufuturian sponsored brand.

  16. If you dont like branding then I imagine you remove all stitching from all your jeans then LOL

Supporting big is stupid, hello, they are made in japan. Why not support wrangler at least they are made in the US still.

Screw Levis, its a big (no pun intended) world out there, maybe they sould concentrate on making something of quality and less on trying to stop someone who does.

stop being wack, gordon & yuji have more denim know-how in their pinky-toe nails than you do. they have done ALL of us a huge service just by starting the store, and unlike self-edge, they have respect for the brands they carry, not just selling pirated jap repros.

if i could get a pair of wranglers that were better than the samurai wrangleresque repros, i would. some people are assholes...you my friend are a whole ass:mad:

  17. Yeah I'd either put emaze or beatle up for first, cheeps sams seems to have lost too much indigo but it might just be the lighting of his pictures.

im confused... i thought the object was to give the most rugged natural wear, not the most asthetically pleasing pair. if you wear them hard, and wash when needed, the indigo will crock...no?

  18. it seems fucking rediculous that putting the name "Superfuture" on a denim patch for a superfuture collaboration cannot be granted without any legalities

i agree, who doesnt want free pub? but i dont care...i joined for the love of denim&denimheads, not to be a part of a logo. plus, it would make them a bit corny. but i do want one of those superfuture t-shirts, size small.

  19. typical.... someone can't keep their mouth shut and ruin it for everyone else.

loose lips sink ships...from now on, im having the arc removed from all future purchases, for 4 reasons:

    1. i dont want to give the schmucks@ levi strauss anything to beat their dicks over,

    2. i dont want to falsely cross-advertise for them(i dont want anyone to mistake them as levis, and then give them more $$$.

    3. i love toshiko, she's my geisha princess.

    4. i also love the japanese girl @BIG who takes out the arcs and tab by hand.

    PS: fuck levis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

  20. stop by BIG and get your wig split. denim 101 cram.

ask for a professor yuji,or dean gordon, you'll pay more than a neophyte is supposed to want to pay, but you'll thank yourself, and them later. the address is 8 Greene St.(soho) Atrium is wack and trendy(denim-wise). go there non-denim. i went there to compare the quality of my BIG jeans to their brands, and their best cannot compete with the cheapest jean gordon has. forget nudies, i have 2 pair, one selvage, one not. trust the kid.
