  1. This video has the exact the fit I am going for.....and pretty cool but sad video too and please dont think I am spammin

    http://vimeo.com/8191217

I know these aren't selvedge but I am wondering more about the cut the anything and then hope that this cut is available in the LVC collection

Those just appear to be the "last generation" 501 STF cut, probably bought true to size. Loose straight fit from the waistband down, with a high rise. Check your local department stores, like Sears, Kohls, etc. Oh, and thanks for making me choke up with that video you fucker. I would neg rep but I don't take sufu quite that seriously.

  2. Lol that ad is all wrong, his boots are too loose which makes them useless for skating with that type of board. And thats too much denim, too heavy for skating. You would get tired too quick. If he wants to wear a helmet thats up to him but skating in the rain = rusted bearings. The Tokyo Street scene is badassss

he's wearing a fucking helmet you didn't need to mention any of this shit

  3. Thanks for the quick reply! I'll give you the nutshell version since I don't want to crap up your thread. :-P They are unhemmed, but I did hot wash them initially (they are claimed to be "partially unsanforized" and did shrink some in the wash.) Here are two pictures in case they help. The first is a year-worn pair of Skull 5010XX's in size 30, and the Dry Bones fresh after the hot wash.

These will fit looser below the knee than the sz. 31 skulls, but not by a whole lot. It's a similar cut, maybe a little lower on the rise. You'd likely be wearing them a little lower, on the hips. These are my slouchy, "loose slim" go-to jeans, I just never ever get to wear them. Sorry -- forgot to mention, I wear a 31 in most jeans. Nowadays, I'd wear a 31 or 32 in the 5010XX for the intended slim fit. The picture of me in the 30s is around a year old; I've gained ~10 lbs since then and one waist size.

  4. Interested in a trade? I have a lightly worn pair of SExDBxSF09 (the Dry Bones sufu jeans) that I'm looking to sell or trade in size 31. However, if you're selling because these Skulls were too small, then that's a no go!

Links to pics: http://img682.imageshack.us/img682/5543/sale01.jpg / http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/186/sale02.jpg (same deal as you; tags aren't attached, but i have them. I just put the flasher in the pocket for the picture.)

  5. You could try wearing them a little lower on the hips, but otherwise, that is honestly not a good (nor flattering) fit. Not saying to wear your pants on the ground, but maybe pull them down a touch. If that doesn't work, sell them.

  6. james nicolas, i'm having a hard time wearing mine too. i bought a 31 like you, and based on your fades, they fit you in a similar manner -- too big everywhere. which is funny, since nowadays, 31 is like sizing down one for me.

i save mine for days that i need a looser-fitting, lighter-feeling jean. skateboarding in my samurais on hotter days gets pretty tedious after an hour or so.

i'd say anyone who is interested in buying james nicolas' jeans, you should probably be around a 32 or even a 33 in most other jeans. this really isn't much of a slim cut, just a low rise straight leg jean.

  7. Oh I was just joking about the red tab thing. I highly doubt some schmuck working in Canada post customs carefully opened your box of jeans to see a strange red tab that doesn't say Levi's and decided to alert the authorities. They have bigger fish to fry nowadays anyway, like people trying to blow up commuter jets on christmas day.

  8. i am annoyed right now. my s5000bks were supposed to be here by now since they were shipped monday via xpress post usa from canada. however in the confirmation at usps it still says Origin Post is Preparing Shipment. Has anyone ever gotten this message? I have a feeling customs is holding my package.

customs caught that red tab.........:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

i had a couple noob questions to ask anyone with experience, any help will be appreciated.

I recently bought a pair of s710xx from 2nd and i was wondering what do you do to get the most shrinkage out of your jeans?

i also bought them from rakuten.co.jp does anyone have a clue of when they will arrive? im excited loll

    again thanks for any help!

hot wash them three times in a row with no detergent.

  9. Mine haven't really faded at all, which kind of makes sense but is also strange at the same time. Makes sense because I've worn them like 10 times. But it's strange because all 10 of those times have been all-day outdoor excursions in (mostly) 90+ degree florida heat, humidity and sweat causing the jeans to chafe in places that make no sense, like my calves. What the fuck.
