  1. Well, my orders from 2nd came into JFK in NY (but I'm east coast.) If yours come into Cali instead, you very well may get them by Saturday! I wouldn't get your hopes up though :-(

  2. Tall tees are hilarious though. Makes dus look like real life boxing puppets

I'm going to uncontrollably laugh in someone's face the next time I see this shit and it's probably going to get me yelled at/hurt

  3. I still think yayorc's NS look as they should for being a damn-close-to-new pair... as in, a little too form-fitting in some areas that will certainly stretch out over time and provide a very versatile fit. They look way better than the Rescues.

Sizing advice will differ between forums; groups of people... Not to talk forum-wide trash or anything, but I've moseyed into the WAYWT thread on styleforum a couple of times. Not so great.

  4. Oh yes, we're both the slow and steady type :-) I'm going to guess they've been washed at least 8 or 9 times, but they simply don't lose indigo in the wash. There's a lot more hyper/bright blue going on than the camera phone can capture; the second picture is closer to accurate.

  5. My girlfriend's TFH Balder's. She's had these for around 10 months. Washed every other month or so, and rotated with 3 or 4 other pairs (she wears these once or twice a week.) My old belt.

  6. Yeah, any regular old tailor will do a fine job for $10-15. APC does not chain stitch their hems, so no worries about that. Are those New Standards working out for you? It's all about whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

  7. I see what you mean about the difference in fits. I would agree that the Rescues are a more suitable cut; the bit of extra play in the calf is just nitpicking, and will settle down naturally with some wear.

  8. exteeng, your balders are just awesome. i need to take some shots of my girlfriend's pair -- whole lot of that trademark TFH electric blue coming through but still plenty dark in most areas, as she wears hers rather gently.

speaking of girls and fading jeans, do any of you get self-conscious about your knee fades? my girlfriend does, it's so cute. i always explain to her; anyone with knees is going to get knee fades. no one's looking at you wondering how much time you spend on your knees! don't worry!

  9. you could consider having them tapered so the fit below the knee more closely resembles the fit above the knee, I suppose. however, that's essentially what the New Standard is in relation to the Rescue, isn't it? what was the problem with your size 30 New Standards?

  10. So my roommate is selling a pair of New Standards in size 28... Determining whether I should cop them or not. I have a size 29 pair of New Cures and they were a pain to deal with when I first started wearing them (true waist is like 34"). What do you guys think?

    I'm about 5'11" and weigh around 155~160.

Sounds weird, but, if your true waist really is 34 and you somehow managed to get away with a size 29 NC, you could get away with a size 28 NS. You must have some tiny legs. I'm 6'1 and around 160 lbs, and a size 30 NC was too tight for me.

  11. Yo!

Anyone know if I can fit the Griffith Park in 29 if i wear the raw MIJ in 29? Will it stretch as much as the raws?

    Thanks.

You may want to consider a 30 depending on how your MIJ raws fit. If the MIJ raws are really form-fitting and required a lot of stretching, then the 29s will just be too small.

  12. Anyone in the central Florida area have a good hook-up for quality sativa? God bless my friend/co-worker/dealer but the stuff he gets and hypes up as "that bomb/fire/kryp shit" just isn't doing it any more. I need something new, fresh, and exciting.

  13. Quiet before the storm, eh? I remember this happening at the end of the Skull contest. Although, the Skull contest didn't produce as many uniquely-worn pairs that this one is. Get those pictures ready you sons o bitches... I want em

  14. Took some pictures, here you go!

These are taken in sunlight with flash, so there is a biased amount of lighting in these pictures. The jeans are darker in person.

Also, about the light creasing on the lap, there is no fading, and these light creases can be rubbed or steamed out easily for a fresh slate.
