  1. It sounds like the way those things were cut back in the late 80s / early 90s. I still have one from a drama club, will have to compare measurements

  2. I really enjoyed the 2 interview articles linked on the previous page. As someone with considerable pre-Internet experience, I can really appreciate some of the points made in that particular discussion. My favourite part however, was the quote re the demise of the independent boutique at the hands of the single brand store. This would remove the ability to compare between brands directly - the whole, I came in here to buy a pair of Iron Hearts but actually prefer those Sugar Canes type scenario. I hope this never happens but is a worry I've had for a while and was interesting to see it mentioned.

I'll definitely visit in a Self Edge store in person if I happen to be in one of the locations but in the meantime I'll remain an occasional online customer. Keep up the good work!

hey, thanks for that.  I should note that the specific quote about multi-brand boutiques was from Karlo Steel regarding his closing of Atelier - I didn't hear Kiya's thoughts on it so didn't want it to be misattributed to him if he didn't feel the same way.  I just stuck it in because it seemed relevant, I'm sort of tangential like that....

  3. ^ Can't say I see anything that really piques my interest, but at least it's very affordable.

"At least I don't have to pay much for something I don't want." Not impressed at all, no vision behind their line... Shows the biters are on an upswing

  4. Special ordered the Minie Hunting Jkt in indigo damaged moleskin earlier this year from the LA trunk show and received it a few days ago. I don't normally purchase pre-distressed clothing, so it was a bit of an aberration for me. I'm pretty much a size 1 across the board and went TTS on it. Wish it was just a bit heavier, but it'll probably end up allowing for more year round wear in LA.

yo dude, what's up? that jacket is crazy, the lookbook shots were better than the static product photos so assume it looks much better worn?  tempting, tempting

  5. Re: commuter cargos, I ordered them last sale and sent them back, they were insanely bulky feeling

Re: pants, having a short inseam relative to waist, I would never buy a pair with an unalterable hem due to zipper etc unless I was dead sure they would fit. I am not under the impression that production run mins afford different inseam options... Just a thought

  6. Any logic behind this opinion or just common sense intuition that cashmere footwear is for fools and kings?

Cashmere is both too fragile and breathable for the application. Slippers yes, sneakers no

Btw got your massif jacket and ACR beanie yesterday, well spotted as always

  7. Is the converse cashmere pack (Loro Piana Storm System?) legit or hype?

    /quote]

I've never experienced them but the idea seems relentlessly stupid

Any of you bring dopp kits to work? I'm looking for something a bit more compact and of more durable materials than my giant, leather beater. (lol.)

Yes - I am a professional footballer and stand by my Louis Vuitton monogram Dopp kit - it allows me to perform at the highest level and express my individuality both on and off the pitch

  8. warmest black insulator vest/ jacket out there for city use? preferably no visible logo and some good zippers

Herno laminar did a crazy one, also recommend the aether 3 in 1 which comes with a lovely vest
