  1. i recently tried a couple of the new elc a1's. nicely made jackets but they just didnt seem to fit me very well. pity cos i really wanted one.

all the talk now is of the new repro jackets made by john chapman and his goodwear clothing company (see VLJ forum for details) they are something else.. look like five years wear straight out the box and very accurate also. think it is about 800 bux for an a2. some really great stuff being produced now by lots of companies so you cant go wrong with whatever you opt for.

  2. i love shiba inus. in general they have very few health problems and will live quite a long time compared to other breeds. you should make sure they are eye and hip tested by any breeder you buy from though as there have been some cases recently of glaucoma. the better uk breeders will not keep using the same gene pool for every mating and will select dogs from other kennels accordingly. some direct from japan.

there quite a few decent breeders in the uk and depending on where you live probably some quite local, the main problem you will find is availablity of puppies due to small litters. www.champdogs.co.uk has a breeder search. go to guided search, utility, then japanese shiba inu.

gill bingham at steldawn is the uk shiba rescue advisor if you wanted to chat to her.

  3. cheep, not just everyone is allowed a pair. if you are interested, let us know, a meeting will be held, your application will be assessed, then you will have your answer. although said meeting will prob take a least a month due to in-built laziness.

  4. i love mine. i think i could probably have got one size down as i believe the denim would stretch, but i find these very comfortable. my main problem is that since i stopped doing any sport i have a pot belly and no leg muscles!

the denim itself is awesome. very rugged but not coarse.. reminds me in texture of an old style potato sack. also if you like chainsticthing you would be in heaven with these, it seems every seem has a chain stich.

  5. here are a pair of 1950 duckdiggers i got last week. not very well lit pics but at least you can see the silhouette. they shrank a lot from raw after the hot soak, but i have noticed that this type of denim is fairly easy to stretch out again.
