  1. Yeah, it pretty much says what everyone else here says, from what I can gather.

What's the average sun tanning time here? 2 days? 3 days? And is that 2 or 3 days both on the inside and outside or total?

I live in Southern California, so the sun can get hot (though it's been uncharacteristically cloudy lately), and I don't want to over tan. I ordered the regular Obenauf's oil to treat it afterwards. Thanks!

  2. I'm washing about every 2 months in a machine on medium temp with organic soap from Whole Foods and hang drying.

I'm kind of personally over the never washing thing and I'm curious to see what happens to these with regular cleanings.

  3. Why wouldn't they? They are still in the business of turning profits. Email Shinichi-san, (aka the LeBron James of this thread): [email protected]

Tell him what you want, and he'll send you ordering info from there.

Unless it was just released, I doubt that you will find something that nobody else has in the US (at least on an individual basis).

Ninja please. I know they're in the business of making money, but some companies won't ship directly to the US if they have authorized retailers here. Samurai, for example.

And I meant there are no stores that sell it, hence wanting to get it directly from Fabfour.

  4. If you take them to someone who knows what they're doing, you really don't have to worry about hemming, especially if they chain-stitch - then they're the same, just shorter. But as long as you're happy, wear them how you like.

  5. read the thread title. WASHED jeans. Thats what its about. You dont really need to preach in this thread because the praises for dry denim are found in about uhh..EVERY OTHER THREAD.

We were trying to educate the poor kid. He was asking for advice, and mine is that he shouldn't waste his time on cheesy, pre-distressed jeans. Sorry, I should have elaborated.

  6. Yeh SDAs have a nice colour and i was thinking one of the more straight/bootcut fits. I'm not the tapered leg kinda guy. Was thinking something similar to the SD105

Eternals are a little too slubby for me and I'm not sure about the fit.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't consider Eternals that slubby, just a slightly looser weave than the SDAs (which i also have).

  7. This has been said before, but I'll just say it again.

So far 231 people have voted.

I believe that's quite a big amount and that would be a big order for Warehouse to produce.

Besides that even half of that would already be too much for a contest, and the contest part is what sets this apart from being just a random group buy.

How about, once we get the specifics on size, detail, price etc, we do another vote on how many people are still interested in buying the jeans, and how many of those are actually willing to commit to a contest.

The interest is clearly there, now there has to be communicated (wich I believe Cheep is in the middle of as we speak) with all parties involved about exact nrs.

It's no good for BIG's nor Sufu reputation when Warehouse produces 200 jeans and then 50 people flake.

I would imagine they'll produce the jeans based on the actual pre-order like BiG usually does for limited run jeans, as opposed to this unscientific poll. I'm also fairly certain that actual number will be significantly lower than what's represented here.

  8. I really like the look of those locomotive jeans. I take it you didn't buy them in the end?

Still waiting. I thought they were supposed to be slim from the measurements, but all the pics look fuller. I might just get them anyway.

  9. I have SDA 103s, Eternal 811s and Samurai s71019oz and I'm looking to get another pair soon. Obviously I dig slimmish '66 style cuts, and would like my next pair to be the same and I'm totally willing to break new ground here as far as brands go. Also, I always order from Japan so that's no problem. The other things I'm looking for are hidden rivets and I'd prefer something with an arcuate.

    Ideas?

  10. Great pick-up Viv--can't wait to see fit pics.

In my experience, corduroy is actually lighter than it appears. Even a fairly heavy cord will breathe more than denim and be pretty comfy on a hot day.

Oh, what free gift did you get from 2nd?
