this wallet's only about two weeks old, but it's already taking on some indigo and the saddle leather is getting darker. haven't put any sort of treatment on it, yet. i was trying to decide between this and a redmoon wallet, but the little slot for a guitar pick clinched it for me. (that and the fact that it costs more than ¥10,000 less.)
update to come in few months. i hope.
Got that update? Thinking about getting one and would love to see how it's held up.
THANKS!

Good information. Thanks!

Hmm that tight cut sounds tempting. I think a nice, middle weight RHT from a brand nobody has seen may be perfect for my next pair.
That's what I'm talking about!

G-a-r-d-e-n does ship internationally and they DO take Paypal. I had some correspondence with someone there regarding the D62 (the "tight" cut) and the only thing I really got out of it was that I should order them in the same size as I wear in the SD-103. Maybe that helps.

Just found out about those, I really dig the name and the leather patch is bad-ass!
Whoa! Those are yours? Can we get some details? As you can see in this thread, I've been geeking on the D62s for a while but never pulled the trigger. Watchman--I think the D62s are the closest they have to a '66, but I was never 100% sure about the measurements so that's why I never ordered them. I'm due for a new pair and this has re-sparked my interest.

If you want a thinner wallet get a Skull wallet. That's Skull next to a Ficker 2.
Are those cracks on the edges of the Skull? Are the pieces not fully joined or what?

Did you use the Obenauf's on your Flicker as well? Do you think I should treat mine now or wait until there's more wear? Also, which Obenauf's do you use?
Sorry for the noob-like questions.

Might as well add Skull to the list. For some reason everything looks a lot more yellow than it really is. I kinda like the Skull wallet, not uber thick, but it hasn't been loaded up yet.
You're a maniac. Can you comment on the quality of the Skull? I've had my eye on the large medallion ring wallet. Graphic details would be appreciated.

It comes down to how thick you want your wallet to be and how many card slots you need. What do you carry now? Also I'll say that the Flicker ll is definitely a more unique wallet...
Yeah, and i've never been able to find a Last Crops site either. Would love to find it though. Anybody?
here's another pic of my Flicker ll for no reason:

Thanks for your help Chponglasia. I've seen both models on the Albuquerque 88 website. A friend of mine is in Tokyo next week and he wants to bring me a wallet from their shop. I'm thinking about a natural tan bifold. Last Crops might be the way to go. The Flicker II is almost twice as expensive, so I hesitate to choose that one over the Wings. They are only 24.000 yen or so.
I've read here on SuFu that Chiba from Albuquerque 88 said that he prefers the Last Crops over the Wild Swans due to better quality. Can anyone confirm this? Their Wings are even cheaper at 19.000 yen..
I reckon it's difficult to find someone who owns/owned both? Well, you never know....
Yeah, Chiba said that to me in an email. Here's exactly what he said in response to me asking about the difference between LC and WS:
"The difference between Wild Swans and Last Crops are quality of the leather.
Last Crops is higher quality than Wild Swans...... and also process too. We do
not sell the Wild Swans Flicker 2 anymore(because of low quality). "
I would probably trust that. And Dick Danger owns both, but not the same model, so I don't know if you can make a fair comparison. My suggestion is to go with the Last Crops whichever model you choose. At least you won't be plagued with regret about getting something that's too high quality... and it's only about 40 bucks difference...
Let us now what you decide!

What's the difference between the LC Flicker II and the LC Wings, except the price tag?
The Wings is pretty much a standard billfold with 6 card slots and is thinner than the Flicker ll. On the Flicker ll, there are 8 slots, and the way the card slot panel is attached to the wallet is unlike anything I've seen--they're attached in the middle so it appears as though they're floating. I know it sounds weird.
Someone here said that they're made with different leather, though I don't know that for sure. They're are probably some other differences as well that I forgot to mention, but main thing is: Flicker ll=thick, Wings=thin. And there are pictures floating around of both...

I posted the email somewhere from Chiba at Albuquerque saying that they don't carry the Wild Swans Flicker ll anymore because of poor quality. I've never actually seen anything by Wildswans though, so I can only go by the quality of my LC which is amazing.

awesome wallet, where you cop and how much
Thanks. I had a friend get it for me in Tokyo at Albuquerque, which is the only place I know of that sells Last Crops (online at least). http://goodleather.co.jp/
It cost about $350 US. Steep yeah, but so worth it. This thing is amazing - such soft yet thick leather and military-grade stitching. I can't wait to see how it ages. I'll post pics as it does.

how many card slots are in this bad boy?
There are a total of 8 card slots, as illustrated in this pic:

Maybe it's because you don't use any punctuation??
Seriously, what were you trying to say to them? Most key phrases have been translated here:

Hope that helps.

I'm pretty sure that's just the angle, but that last photo makes it look about the size of a brick. Nice wallet.
No, it actually is roughly the size of a small brick.

posted some pics if my LC Flicker ll here.
After initially freaking about the size of it, I now love it. Too much.

Fair enough. Good luck!

Nice try, but our prices are the same as the Japanese stores and we don't charge shipping.
Keep in mind all of our long wallets also come with the chain which many japanese stores charge extra for.
Sorry, not trying to be a dick, but isn't this one for example $65? Plus maybe $30 for shipping to the States? Seems cheaper to me.

Small wallets are $185, long wallets are $350, ostrich skin wallets are $500.
yikes! i'd get them here, then:
