  1. Not Lvc but the pics below are of my 1967 505 tag W32 / 30 but were W34(products with roots range) Got these about Summer/Autumn last year and wore them walking from work a lot but stopped wearing them pre xmas and will be benching/selling these . Thought I would drop some pics . Bloody good jeans , tough as fuck to fade though . They havnt been washed . Details are pretty good , chainstitch hem , alternate coloured stitching though the modern patch ticks me !!

Have some fit pics to come of LVC 1978's soon !!!

  2. i looked at these very closely in the sales, and the denim looks great. It's quie a flat colour in the flesh, not as black as, say, LVC, but pretty authentic. I suspect it's much the same denim as its predecessors, in which case the fade is fantastic,

Agree on the denim , its not unlike in colour to 70s/80s Lee Riders I have owned . What doesnt come across well in the pics is the fat gold selvage and the gold and vey bright lemon stiching , some of the better detailing .

  3. Anyhow , was messing around on ebay start of the week , ended up scoring these for £35 . A pair of the new Lee 101 range - model 101z . They just arrived a few hours ago . Having only seen pics before I wasnt sure what they would be like . Now Im a stickler for retro details , but these arent really pushed as a exact repro . Compared to the 1952/1966 models , the pockets sit to low , are a bit oversized , the badging is modern (had to remove the shittiest looking fake hair on hide tag you could ever see) I tweeked the shield back pocket stitching also and some of the stitching patterns are slightly different . The cut is quite good , the denim is sanforized , very dark indigo though not rigid or soft . Selvage is cool , looks great with a pair of black boots . Wouldnt pay the full retail , approx £120 but for £35 they will do nicely (probably for a while until I flog them lol !!!)

Btw , marks are camera spots .

  4. Ah interesting mike,. thanks. Is there a copyright date on the pocket flasher?

No , unfortunately the pic when scaled up is unclear . They are beauties though .

These pics and the ones showing Lee's on the "some distressed .." thread are making me think of benching my

Levis and getting the 101z 's out of the wardrobe !!!

  5. Digging the shirts , decided to post some of my own . Picked these up in the last year or two from a friends retro shop , all are pre owned . He always has some nice shirts and now and again I get one that fits me . All are heavyweight shirts , the Woolrich is best , warm as fuck on a cold day !!

  6. I'd say that's a bonus, as it's more authentic. Are they LVC Japan?

    .

No Dr H , inner tag says made in usa and I709 (not S1 09 ) waist button engraved 4170 , which is new to me also .

Hi Fardin , long tme no speak - been offline for a while , good to hear from you again .

  7. Havent posted for a few months and having been following the thread either so forgive me if this old hat but noticed when I bought these a few weeks ago that these s1 09 47s have a single sided red tab with no copyright mark . I have a worn pair of 2008 and raw pair of 2007 both with the copyright mark as have anyothers I have owned . Is this new ?

  8. Your true waist size is 35 and you bought raw 33s.

How are your thighs and testicles?

    photos?

They are fine (lol) I cold soaked them ( the jeans not my balls !!) then wore them damp which stretched them out . To be honest I never went undersized before so this was something new (and an expensive gamble at £135 to get a raw tagged W34 L32) I'm really pleased how they turned out and as I have short legs they dont look too slim on me . I will add some photos after my tea !!

  9. Will 1947's stretch back to their pre-soak waist? The ones I just got in fit in the waist just a tad loose and I'm worried they'll shrink far too much if I hot soak them.

If you need to stretch them it is easy - soak the waistband , srtetch it out to the waist size you want then suspend the jeans from a trouser hanger (clips at either side) Clip the waist with a hair clip also and let them dry . I have a pair of w34 which came dry at w33 and I stretched them to my ideal wasit size of w35 .

  10. Doug , I think it is a case of you get what you pay for . These are good jeans , with some neat features . Whilst the denim is tough wearing you won't get the fading(as quicklly) as the LVC or other premium denim models , if thats what you want .Personally I own a pair of the 1967 505s from the same range and enjoy wearing them . However , unless these are on offer , for another £40/50 maxyou an get an LVC repro . The merits of LVC repros are pretty much the substance of this thread , for me they are tops .
