  1. I can see how one might not like the Alden made shoes. They're not really built on the most elegant of lasts... usually more of a stodgy gunboat / tanker look to them. However, I find it hard to not like these two more elegant wholecuts:

And then there are these Romano Martegani shell special orders:

Looking at those shoes makes my heart weep with desire.

  2. I wouldn't say "wrong"... just deluded.

These are mine.. sz 12, badly in need of sole-repairs, but a slightly more wintery option to the classic Oxford (a couple inches more leather to keep those anklies warm!)

These I love, the light grey just seem dainty to me. To each his own, but I've seen those shoes on here numerous times getting love from everybody and they look worse every time. icon10.gif

  3. The LHT is a beautiful fabric with a real modern feel and look. . I have the 103, 105, and 1002 all in 33. The 1002 stretches the most in the waist but the legs have stayed pretty true. The 105,s almost killed my waist and hips but are now absolutely perfect as are my 103's. The 1002's waist is an inch bigger.

It seems to me the RHT has a natural elasticity that lets it conform to your body like a glove but still retain its shape while the LHT sorta stretches and doesn't bounce back as much. The 1002 ends up having a more modern, urban look whereas you can picture a real Marlboro Man kinda guy wearing the 105's out on the range. Consequently I wear the 105's a lot more cause They look better to kick around in and feel indestructible.. BUT if I want to dress up and still wear jeans it's the 1002's. My .02 cents

  4. How do these butteros run, true to size, size up or down?

The work boots run big. I'm pretty much a 43 in everything and I got these in 42 with plenty of room.

Here's a new option. I have the smooth leather ones in black and can't say enough good about them. I would have gotten the brown suede also but the numbnuts at 3 different COOP's including Madison Ave. told me they would not be getting the brown so I got the Varvatos convertible lace up instead. I'm very happy with them but they were 500 compared to 385 for the Butterro's.

  6. I ordered some Good Society for my wife. Should be here tomorrow. I'll post up when I get them.

Very nice jeans. For the money, incredible quality. Not for the true denimhead but for a light summer pair of jeans for cheap I'll probably get a pair for myself.

Also they are cut great. I hope the guys version is cut as good as the girls.
