You won't be sorry. Indy's should hold up to everyday wear just fine. I look at them as a great sub for sneakers. Lightweight comfortable footwear that you can dirty up like hell and revive with a quick brush and polish. Just don't try to make them something they are not and you will be very happy. As far as the new 405's having leather lining I'm not too thrilled. For hot weather I'd rather have the canvas lining. IMO they should retain the foot balance model at the current price point in addition to the new "improved" model.

  2. May I ask you what color is your belt when wearing #8.

I'm trying to make it a casual look but find hard to match them with any of my belts.

I got a nice belt at Barneys NY with a #8ish color and silver color buckle about 1.4 width that goes nicely.

  3. I hear ya on the Plaza last. I ordered mine in a E and they fit like a D on the Tru-Balance last.

    Enjoy your boots!

Thanks, I also thought the Commando on the AF79 would be a nice contrast against the double leather on the Indy. Makes them totally different boots. I just got the regular Indy in May and they are the best feeling boots I've ever worn so I'm hoping the Leydon feels at least almost as good.

  4. Hi Pauken, FWIW I wear a 32 in the 5000 and it fits perfectly. A 33 will stretch out too much for you. My 32's are right at 34now. BTW thanks sooooo

much for selling the 1293's. I literally will not be buying jeans for several years now since I got these. Mike

  5. Not exactly thrilled with the fit right now, they some how seem looser post soak then they did completely raw? Waist and thighs fit great but from the knee down the jeans actually look wider then they are up top, more like a bootcut than a slim straight fit. Is it possible for raw denim to shrink unevenly? Maybe it is just because I haven't had enough time to wear them and let them settle down a bit. I'm gonna throw them in for another hot soak and see where that gets me, but I don't know if it is gonna help much.

They will need to settle down. The denim is so stiff that they stack sorta wierd til they soften up. You should give them a nice long hot wash and then a hot dry. I promise you will not lose any indigo. SDA's hold color like no other jean I know of other than 45 RPM maybe.

  6. o man did you pick up the pair off the supermarket?

Yea. I was not in the market for a new pair of denim but I always had it in my mind I would snag another pair if they came up. Frankly I never thought they would. Love them to death.
