  1. @Hsin8 its not the couriers, its authorities

move to a different country, getting international packages in austria is the worst

i remember drew said out of all the countries TOJ got orders from he got austria was by far the worst for delivery & customs

i think i got double taxed on imports over half the time when i still lived there

  2. ^ if youre sure a 50mm equivalent lens is all you need, thats a good choice. but remember that if you decide later that you need a 35mm equivalent, the fuji 23mm costs 1000 dollars.

but try it out at a store first

Also heads up to anyone looking to buy an X100S now that the X100T is out: I recently compared the X100S to the original X100 with the latest firmware, and except for manual focus their performance is basically identical

  3. can anyone ID the font rinse.fm uses? what the font doesn't recognize it. I've looked through a lot of monospaced fonts but can't seem to find it anywhere either.

  4. ive been watching soccer all my life, but i can see it being fun to watch for people who dont know that much about the sport, most soccer games really arent decided until near the end whereas in baseball/football/basketball often you can tell pretty early whos going to win the match

i like watching the triathlon during the winter olympics and ive never been cross country skiing or shot a gun

but actually tbh i didnt read howls post the first time, only the response

  5. i stopped using youtube a few years ago when a lot of the stuff on my favourites lists started getting deleted. not only could i no longer listen to it, youtube also refuses to tell you what a deleted video was, and i have terrible memory so will most likely never find some of these songs again

now i use a spotify/itunes setup where itunes houses everything that isn't in spotify's library, but all the organizing and playing is done through spotify.

my only issue with spotify is that it's basically impossible to look for classical music on there as for every piece theres a million uploads of really bad versions and the good ones just kind of disappear in the pile.

  6. The adidas collaboration gives Rick access to technology that he doesn't have available; specifically these unusual soles, none of which can be made on the tools that are available to Rick through whatever factory he contracts his footwear to. It's the same reason he agreed to the Eastpak collaboration, which was a brilliant little collection; he did it to get his hands on a heatlock (?) machine they had.

the difference is springblade is a dumb gimmick with no actual athletic performance whatsoever, plus the shoes suck, so why bother?

the blades dont even point in the right direction
