  1. bumepd into a guy wearing samurais today at an asian grocery store here in CT. I asked if you were on superfuture, you asked if I had been to BiG. I was with my father at the checkout line and he proceeded to ask a series of embarassing questions that I could have answered myself. my apologies.

what kind of questions did your dad ask?

  2. shit, tell me about it. in new york, not only do i have to keep my eyes on crazy cab drivers and bike messengers ignoring traffic, i have to keep dodging people who hack loogies left and right. they better not spit on me, esp my denim.

Are they always old Chinese people? That's what I've noticed in Chicago.

  3. Wisconsin drivers - Don't understand that the left lane on the freeway are for those who like to drive above 50mph. Enjoy taking it easy on said lanes, chatting on their cellphones. Fuck you.

  4. One leg pant? That's a skirt.

I never said it wasn't. But the man skirt has been marketed in the past as a "one-legged pant," presumably to (unsucessfully) get away the "man skirt" stigma. It's like renaming "prunes" to "dried plums." A gentler, kinder nomenclature but still an old folk's fruit just the same.

  5. What can I say? There was a lot I hated here, but I can also see where Browne is going. The general concepts are great - bowties, short pantlines, a dapper look - that are blown way out of proportion. But if you consider the dilution of runway trends by retailers for the masses, it makes sense. A couple inches longer on pants, more structured outerwear...

Of course, when Hot Topic introduced its "one-leg pant" for men, not even the most sheep-like of mall goths went for it. Also, the overgrown schoolboy look makes me uncomfortable.

  6. Because THIS man

Smoked something funny and led a bunch of fools to a salt lake in the middle of nowhere. Oh yeah and they send all their hottest youngest ass all over the world to try and convert the heathens. My coworker went to korea. She came back as fluent in korean as the garlic eaters.

Do Mormons count as white? I consider them their own thing, after the whole xenophobic, let's-kill-anyone-who's-not-a-Mormon, episodes in the 1800s? Think Mt Meadow Massacres...

  7. Yeah, I tied him up outside a supermarket (like usual), and a trio of girls nipped minutes before I was finished shopping. Luckily there were good witnesses who pointed in the right direction, and after running three blocks, got him back. One even threatened me.

My heart dropped when I only saw a leash tied to the bike rack. It was absolutely horrifying.

What the hell? Why would people do that? The only time I could consider dog-knapping was last year, when it was fucking freezing outside. Someone had left their dog outside so they could fuck around in a cafe being all hipster while the dog was literally crying/whining because it was so cold that day. I wanted to smash its owner in the face.

  8. haha, i was just thinking about trying to figure out how exactly i would go about posting this. i'm pretty meh on it myself, but i like the shoes and the 2nd and 3rd jackets.

The fits aren't terrible, but not exactly right either. Cosign on the burgundy motorcycle jacket, though.

  9. I was looking at vintage union specials... Does anyone know if all union specials are capable of chainstitching?

No. Union Special manufactures all sorts of industrial sewing machines for various purposes, ie blindstitch, coverstitch. If you want a US chainstich machine, make sure it says it does chainstitching.
