  1. Love my 400D. Was looking hard at the D40, but already had 2 Canon lenes (and with some tips from ayn) plus I really like the reliability. Had a couple (canon) p&s's and they never went down and I put the thru hell. At the end of the day, if the image moves you, who cares what it came from......just shoot, and shoot some more ;)

The Nikon D40 is more for people who are looking into an SLR camera of any type for the first time While it has a decent kit lens, the range of lenses compatible are fewer than with other Nikon DSLRs because of the lens motor issue. But Nikon doesn't expect most people to stray beyond the kit lens anyway.

Be sure to post your photos in the Photography thread!

  2. anyways, planned parenthood had em for $30 which is about how much i wanted to spend since i can usually get it free.

comparison shopping for bc? this thread made me laugh and throw up a little in my mouth.

  3. I just recently purchased, and ultimately sold, a pair of desert boots in grey suede. I thought they looked really good. The only reason I sold them was because I didn't think I'd use them much.

I would have bought them off you even though I want them in black leather...

  4. Is it breakfast time, cause she has a ton of pancake on her face.

She's just an American chick. No hot japanese accent.

    Edit: make her shut up!

I'm with Team Dizon but listening to her speak was a nail punching my masturbatory dream.

    Please don't talk.

  5. I don't care either way about keffiyah scarves, but for those who do: Where some see fashion, others see politics

    Some choice quotes:

Dr. Swedenburg doesn’t think it should be viewed this way. “I think to associate [the shemgah] directly with terrorism is to tar all Palestinians with the brush of terrorism,” he said. “That’s a mischaracterization.”

    ....

In its 2007 revival, the kaffiyeh has similar sidekicks. “It’s hipster 101: I need my skinny jeans, some sort of scarf and a beat up T-shirt,” Ms. Hukahori said. “O.K., I’m a hipster now.”
