  1. EDIT: ALL SOLD.

I picked up two more pairs of RRL Slim Fit (not Slim Boot) jeans in sizes 32x34 and 33x34. Fairly dark wash. Made in USA. Hidden rivets, selvage, leather patch, etc. The fit is quite slim. Good summer jeans.

    33s measure:33.5" waist, 34" inseam, 10" rise, 7 3/4" leg opening.

$65 shipped, for each pair. Retail was $265. PM or email me for info ([email protected]).

The 32s have the same measurement (maybe a 33" waist rather than 33.5"), with a slightly slimmer leg.

EDIT: Wallys are sold. Finally, a NOS pair of Padmore and Barnes made in Ireland Clarks Wallabes, black. Only tried on. Size 13 W, although they fit on the small side (I'm usually a 12 and they fit fine). Crepe sole sides are a bit discolored, I'm guessing from storage. The linings are a bit loose. $50 shipped. No box.

  3. Personally, I think that's a generic looking businessman outfit and that he looks like some arrogant club-going stock trader, but that's probably what he's going for.

He both works and plays exceedingly hard.

  4. After being called out, quite reasonably, by a kinder internet writer, for my harsh stupidity, I will feel like the man in Sartre, who suddenly hears footsteps behind him while he is pleasurably peering through a keyhole at unspeakable indecencies. I will retract my previous criticisms and admit that they are only an aspect of an internet persona, id run rampant. In the end, my attack and retreat will only underscore my own humanness. Thus, my esteem in the community will increase as I admit my faults and show than I am capable of being humane.

  5. I will make biting comments about another poster's style and/or corpulent anatomy, thus winning over his antogonists and increasing my own social capital. I will be vague, but not so vague that my identity, as defined by my esoteric interests and enthusiams will not shine through. Ultimately, this thread will increase my own limitless sense of internet self-satisfaction.

  6. Dear Mr. Jmatsu - You are a man who seems to have little patience for jackassery. Yet you keep coming back to website largely populated by teenage social retards. How do you explain this apparent contradiction?

Also: has Superfuture made you the man you are, or have have you made Superfuture the creature it is? Which came first?

  7. I have a few pairs of RRL Slim bootcut jeans. Great blueline selvage, made in Japan, hidden rivets. Somewhat funky wash w/ some distressing, but great quality at this price. Retail was $285.

EDIT: I have two more pairs, one in each size. They measure: 33s - waist 17", inseam 32. 34s - waist - 18," inseam 32."

  9. .BTW, when did they start manufacturing their stuff in China? I bought a sweater from FW and didn't bother to check the tag, and, surprise, Made in China. SOB.

I like this collection much more than some of the recent ones, but the price increases, offshore manufacturing and drop in quality all nix any purchases for me (at least until sale time).

APC is turning into a more stylish Thoery.

  10. When I was in Amsterdam last year, I saw some ceramic ones with a plastic colored ring around the middle, in several stores. I wish I had bought them. Anyone know where I can buy these ?

  11. I fucking hate dentists. They get up in your mouth, cause some acute pain, and then give you a big fucking bill. Who the fuck knows if they did any good, or just jabbed your gums with an ice pick a few times while they shove their Rolex up your nose and stick you with a $600 bill.

I didn't have dental insurance a few years back and needed my wisdom teeth out. I went to Pharmaco, a drug testing company, b/c they promised to do the operation for free and give me $500 in exchange for allowing them to test experimental pain meds on me after the operation. They pull the fucking wisdom teeth out with only local and nitrous, don't put me under. So I'm sitting there conscious as they slice open my gums, crack apart the teeth, wrench them out - blood is gushing all over, I'm listening to Black Sabbath on my walkmen. Horrifying.

They finally finish up, and Pharmaco gives me the experimental pain killer. They warn we that it may only be a placebo. As the local starts to wear off, dull, throbbing pain sets in. They do a blood draw on my arm every 20 minutes to test blood levels. My cheeks start swelling up, looking like a chipmonk. We're sitting in these recliners with a bunch of other patients. One dickweed starts playing Star Wars movies. On after the other. I can't watch that nerd bullshit anymore. The dentists ruined it for me.
