For sale is a pair of Levi's Vintage Clothing 1937 501s with hidden rivets and a buckle-back. Made in the USA. They have been hot washed once to get the shrinkage out of the way and are in otherwise new condition. LVC jeans use unsanforized Cone Mills denim that shrinks from tag size, so these would be best for a 31 waist.

I have semester exams the next few days (yes, even on Saturday), so it might be a while before I get a chance to give them a call.

Erbs. Call Alden tomorrow. Tell them what's up. They will probably fix it for free. And find out about the half soles. I saw a pair of regular 405s on eBay that had been resoled that way and I'm interested.

This sounds like a good plan. I'll give them a call within the next few days.

There's a few threads visible between the upper and the welt, but they're not loose at all. I guess I'm worried that water is going to get in the space and cause problems over time.

On a different note, does anyone know how much Alden would charge to resole standard Indys with a Leather Soul style half-commando sole?

The welt on my Indys is separating from the leather upper; there isn't any stitching loose, but there is a slight gap between the top of the welt and the leather. Is this a cause for concern?
