How's that A&F on London Saville Row doing? I remember seeing bits of a doc about it but never followed up.

I've got 1986 pages worth of poker books on my desk right now. I've read most of it, and the one thing I've learned without a doubt so far, is that nothing is as important as experience hard earned through the loss of your money. It's also interesting that I was born in 1986.

I'm not sure about this. I think the most important thing by far is patience, not being stubborn, and knowing at all times that you are playing for profit and not for "a good time", although the two are not mutually exclusive. I know some people who knew the fundamentals and start out consistently profitable from the moment they started playing seriously. I also lots of ppl who are just as competent who've been losing players for like 5-6 years.

Claymore starts out pretty awesome but starts dragging. Maybe it's just me but eventually there are so many Claymores that look really similar that I completely lost of who people were and what their story was that it became hard to care about the story.

It's actually not overtly about politics at all. It's more of a slice of life manga about an uncommonly smart guy who witnesses a lot of class turmoil and the beginnings of empire building.

That is pretty wack, as the ones (at least the suede dirty bucks) are def factory seconds which lack a lot of final touches.

I think people appreciate Monocle more as a concept and as an admirable item than actual good reading material. It's the magazine that an idealized version of ourselves, the one that actually gives a shit about the political succession of Uruguay or whatever, would like to read.

Word that manga writer is not the best artist but he tells really interesting stories. He also did a manga called Parasite which kind of straddles horror and bunch of other genres that's really unique and entertaining.

I was getting some Popeyes for lunch today. Had my #2 meal with mashed potatoes on the tray when I noticed they didn't give me a spork. I ask for one and the cashier pauses, looks me in eye, and goes "I thought chinese ate with their hands."

I was like "wtf" because 1) who the fuck would eat steaming hot mashed potatoes with their hand, 2)the cashier was this chubby indian dude, and 3)this was the the Popeye's on 14th where most of the workers are Chinese.

Was this racist? Was the dude trying to hit on me or some shit?

That mr.3 moment was really weird but dude this arc has been totally awesome. I liked it a lot more than obvious filler like Thriller Bark. I wonder what Oda's plan is in keeping almost all the entire going merry crew out of what is arguably the most important arc so far.
