I'm assuming the crewnecks on the Buzz Rickson Website are the "new" versions... correct me if I'm wrong. I only question it because the sizing on the website doesn't really match up with what Self Edge provided.

Those are the new sweats, i ordered a grey L and the fit is very good, i like the extra lenght because i have a long upper torso.

i have an old one in black and it fits very short on me, if i blouse this new one a bit it's a very vintage looking fit, the old one i keep pulling down instead.

The subdued red is fire too! Might also order it.

Mudd & Gold are very expensive, they charge rip-off shipping charges.

  2. The fit on that jacket is spot on Crownzip, it looks really good with your worn in Edwin Leepros, they look amazing!

    Glad to have inspired you.

Did you also find the sleeves on the jacket to be pretty long compared to other denim jackets?

Ben, those 101B's looks lovely, great color!

  3. All this talk about the Pantaloons made me curious since i had not seen these yet, so i decided to look these up and damn..... so lovely!

The prices on Rakuten for the Pant and Veste Ouvrier ain't half bad, still anything but cheap though.

  5. Great looking jacket Mich, I've been eyeing them up myself.

    What's the fit like?

The fit's fitted in the body with somewhat wider shoulders and sleeves.

A lot less boxy than the Levi's type 1 jacket.

  6. Hope you enjoy the jacket Mich.

I have the same model and have loved wearing ever it since I got it for christams 2009. Its currently on the washing line, drying after its first wash.

Thanks, i'd love to see some evo pics of your jacket if you have the opportunity to take some.

I'm pretty curious how the fading is.

  7. Gorgeous. How does it fit? I've been lusting after that jacket for a while now as well, but I wanted to see how it fits first. Specifically, how long in the body is it? It looks longer than the Levis models of similar vintage (which I'd like).

Thanks, you're right about it being a tad longer compared to the type 1 Levi's.

It's fitted in the body, with somewhat wider sleeves and shoulders, looks really vintage.

I'll see if i can take a fit pic in the next few days, i don't have time for it right now unfortunately.

It falls just below the belt on a jeans with medium rise, to me that's perfect, i also figured it would be a little longer so that was one of the reasons for me to choose this jacket.

That and the details, especially the pocket bag shape which i really like.

  8. I'd say a definite Yay SLAB, the chest and shoulders seem to fit fine and i wouldn't worry about the sleeves being a little on the short side.

I kinda like that, and it's cool to be able to show a bit of the cuff of a shirt you're wearing underneath when wearing a long sleeved shirt.

    Lovely jacket!

  9. Read on John's FB page that his store and office were hit by the earthquake...serious devastation. We should help get him back on his feet when things get back to normal...place an order with Speedway!

That really sucks that this has happened to him, John is such a great and helpfull guy!

Just today i received the Neal Cassady white pepper chambray and a Buddy Lee cap from him, i did shoot him an email but connections may be down.

  10. in case anyone cares, I am selling my brand new ranch duck jacket (size 36) with a small discount (could be interesting for the EU folks)

Too bad it's way too small for me, it really is a great looking jacket!

Anyone know the pricing on the Blacksmith and Yukon?

    Thanks

The Blacksmiths are $500 + $50 shipping to Europe buying directly from Rising Sun, but Sivletto also stocks them and sells them for €402 which is about the same but without the risk of getting hit by customs,

    http://shop.sivletto.com/system/search/product.asp?id=5303&c=424&page=1&rnum=2

  11. They were 619 shipped (like 1/3 the price of Narrow Wescos which are almost $1600), and I bought the buckles from Okuyama, sent them to Baker's, and they sent them to Wesco where they were attached.

That's some great service from Baker's and Wesco.

Enjoy those beauties, looking forward to future updates on these when they have some wear!
