i think the secret is what he does in his jeans. he is a very active jean wearer. he travels quite a bit (he's actually on vacation right now) and rides a ton on his bike everyday, he's outdoors a lot in the sun, etc. that's why he needs to wash once a month.
i spend a lot of time in front of the computer. i live in nyc, take the train. i might never have to wash my jeans! i think i need to be more active to get the kind of look i'm looking for....
i know some of us here are pretty active too--skating, biking, construction, fighting, etc. i just need to bring it up a notch.

U should get gears that r dopest like LA Gears and Metal Gears, solid bro.
Real to the deal, no? Dopest kicks fly, pay less for them. Whatever whatevers.
For jeans, Wall Smart make good skinny cut jean, called "Hillbilly Hobo",
make for good skintact intact feeling, not gay on Tuesdays.
For others, feel it funky fresh. And company called Gino Gears,
IT'S OV DE FUCKING CHAINS, NEEGERS!!!

btw, this has nothing to do with denim.

if the backpack you want does not come with a rain cover (it should), you can use a backpack cover like:
http://www.backcountry.com/store/KEL0149/Kelty-Backpack-Rain-Cover.html
i think rei makes a pretty good one too.

check http://www.rei.com for a large selection of backpacks.
also north face makes a pretty good backpack:
many of north face's backpacks come with a rain cover. so you can pick one that is suitable for riding and just put the cover on it.

i think that's a record for you cheap mofo. didn't they trash the thread with you flaming that dude with the fake jordans?
i think the server should crash maybe once every 6 months. kind of like crop rotating or detox.

the creases on the front look crazy. do you basically fold and sand on the crease cusp?
i think if you wash them, the creases will definitely meld in perfectly.

looks like you've invented a new form of distressing. you have any pics?

some things i like to do when i am broke are (in no particular order):
* think of ways to make money
* go to the bookstore
* surf the web
* go window shopping--looking is free
* drive around--when i used to have a car. also, gas is not cheap anymore...
* clean the house
* get drunk with friends--have everyone pitch in for a bottle, or bag, if that's the way you roll

posted something to you in the ny/tokyo club thread.

hey dj rajio,
saw your pic in WAYWT, and you look pretty young (though you might not be). my wife (who used to be a tokyo party promoter) says it's harder to get into some exclusive clubs in tokyo when you look young (under 25), especially if you are not japanese. if you are having any problems now, i'm sure they will disappear in a few years!

yeah, i know, it's not what i expected! i'm also very impressed with ryu's english.
btw, he told me he's going on vacation but i hope he will check in soon!
it's very cool that we have different viewpoints from all over the world about jeans.

aaaah, i see. interesting. i wonder if it will catch on here. i've seen a style similar to this in women's jeans. hmmm.

hey ryu!
good to see you on the forum.
i saw the wjk jeans, the "bundy-legged" ones are very interesting. i created a new thread on these. if you have any info, could you comment? thanks.

i know they look different, but they don't look to bad when someone is wearing them.
is this a new type of jean cut?

oops, can a mod move this please?

carmine, $120 is not the retail price. retail price is $140, and it is rumored to go up to $160 very soon.... i know it's a lot but, you are asking for raw selvage denim and the material is very expensive.
for a pair of jeans you will have for many years, $120+shipping is not too bad.

englandmj7, thanks for the support, but there are a lot of people who would disagree with you. but hey, different strokes for different folks.
many of those designs were requested specifically and are not representative of andre's personal style. more of a display of what he can do.

btw, those are just a few of the kicks he's made.
many more types will be on the website soon.
also, he can make any type of custom design you want.

i don't know if you guys know about andre trenier but he customizes some of the sickest sneakers out there.

all shoes are hand-painted.
his shoes are the ones that are featured on ESPN2's show, "It's the Shoes," which is now in it's second season. his shoes have also been featured in XXL, King, Slam Kicks, etc....

thorns, pm'd youQuote:Thanks Miz! I would love to get my hands on some selvage denim too. Actually its been a bitch and a half finding decent denim lately, most of my sources have dried up.
Anyway, I've been making jeans for awhile now, so I'll start posting more of my creations.

If, as some have said, there is not difference between selvage and non-selvage denim...

one could go even further and weave their denim on a 4 or 8 harness hand loom. now that's sloooooow.
you'd probably get a half yard a day if you are lucky.
