I had the same concern, but besides what others are saying about stretching, the thing you have to realize is the denim is still very stiff and not broken-in. Once you wear them the denim will compress as they conform to your body. They'll be fine, a little tight for a day or two, but should fit good.

How long should I soak them?

So... I got my S5000BKs today, but I'm a bit confused. I'm a real 33 Waist and ordered the jeans in the same size as I was told they would at least shrink to tag size. And that's what basically most people in this thread said.

However as I tried on the jeans today, they already fit me perfectly - without even being soaked! I measured the waist and the measurement is 85cm, which is roughly 33.5 inches. Most people say, they shrink at least 1-2 sizes - and I definitely can't afford that.

What do you think - is there anything wrong with my pair? Can anyone confirm the un-soaked measurements on a W33 ??

^ well this is exactly my question - in the link you posted, they measure the rise from the seat seam right to the top of the front of the jeans which means the measurement includes the waistband. I've seen other measuring guides on raktuen (can't remember the link) where they measure the rise to that point right below the waistband (see my pic). So that's quite confusing. Is there any "official" measuring or do they just measure different in Japan?

Sorry for such a n00b question but there has been some confusion in my sale thread lately and I would just like to know for sure what is the 100% correct way as how to measure the rise on jeans...

And where do you measure the waist: on the back of the waistband and then double it? Or do you measure all the actual length of the waistband?

-They are adding two new cuts. The first cut is their first truly unisex cut which is going to be a more traditional cut that is slim/straight (not as slim as the Duke). The second cut is going to be what they're describing as a pre-50's "farmer" cut. Look for the first unisex one to be released in a couple of months..

Any info when this new "farmer cut" is going to be available?
