  1. Ehh I hate adidas for runners...stupid cushioning is too mushy.

Nikes are good if you get the zoom air bowerman series...but I'm a slim dude so full length max air would be better. Just dont gfet shox, the tech is just a gimmick.

I recommend frees if you're doing mid-distance running since they really work the muscles in the lower leg.

If you're on the lighter-side and could get away with it, Zoom Air would be the better option since it's lighter and more responsive. Only when peeps get too heavy and the Air unit bottoms out (top and bottom pinch on impact) is it useful to move to regular encapsulated Air or Air Max.

    Just get Vibram 5-Fingers haha.

  2. my stow feel comfortable since the first day. Never scratch or pinch at all. Actually i feel that the boot got smaller then when i begin with. What fitting did u bought and what width do you usually wear?

I got the 8.5 Tricker's Stow... I have a wide foot but the retailer I bought it from (online) assured me that welted footwear can stretch quite a bit and that there shouldn't be a problem.

I did try to get them stretched from just a small chain-run shoe repair store in the subway and the guy said it wasn't possible to stretch that much cause the leather was so stiff.... however I think he just didn't have experience with this type of shoe.

  3. ^^^ that's good to hear... how "uncomfortable" were they to begin with?

I have a pair of Tricker's that are really pinching on the sides and a bit on the top, is it something that will sort itself out eventually? The retailer I bought the boots from said that usually with welted boots they can stretch out a great deal and luckily length isn't the problem only width.

  4. places to go to when im back in hk. i was guessing there would be lots of places around granville road, and i was right as concept shop is in tst. are there any better places with more shit?

    Trendy Zone (Mong Kok)

    Presidential Center (Causeway Bay)

Both places stock Supreme and other Japanese streetwear brands/sneakers.

  5. outside of what the brands have done with supreme, i've never paid attention to wtaps/nhbd. However since 07 friends would say that they were to open in nyc.

Visvim isnt my thing either. They make a cool shoe but the perception of value is always lost on me. I think they could make a run at a US store. Perhaps not here. Maybe LA or SF. If you want to really consider Hawaii as a state, then there too.

A US-store for Vis would only seem right in NYC. Situated amongst high-end retailers and not among the streetwear contingency. That brand is seemingly going nowhere but high(er) end season to season... or luxury sportswear/streetwear.

How is Hawaii's retail like? I see they are pretty small population-wise but have a few notable stores.

NBHD/WTAPS needs to be sold where there are Asian immigrants/FOBs.

  6. what's an awesome canon lens for indoor and low light shots? my nifty fifty is too tight for indoors and the crappy kit lens is too slow :( shooting with a 40d

    Sigma 30mm f1.4

Nothing beats it relative to price. APC-S lens though.
