this look could be improved with a little color co-ordination or simplification, i think the gold in the buckle and the colors in the shirt are throwing this look out of balance

green, gold, brown, blue, not an entirely appealing combination

its clear youve got some sophistication and some level of aforethought putting the pieces together (flannel, corduroy, leather) but it ends up looking so generic because of your loyalty to brands whose prices are arbitrarily inflated

you could spend just as much money on a retail j crew shirt as you could on a flannel from supermarket (wings and horns, apc, even supreme) and get a much better return on style, construction and fit

Pretty much excellent, really. The marbled and 'funky plaid' jackets are waiting to be copped. Same for the sweaters and such.

kinda sucks sooooo many people here have them but..... I've never seen another person wear them in real life so it's ok. I'm gonna have to say though mine don't look as good from the side (big feet), ripped in 3 places (inside the zippers) and both the soles have been superglued twice.

The problem with the fit isn't so much the vest, but the dudes pants are pretty low-rise, which doesn't really jive with the cut of vests, generally speaking. That said, I wouldn't bother getting something like that (it looks incredibly typical, high-gorge plain vests are weak for a formal outfit anyway), especially when you can get this, a waistcoat:
