  1. you assume everyone cares about this sort of thing because you do. i, on the other hand, am busy having a life, going to clubs and sleeping with yourmothers. maybe i'll buy you a drink, just have to watch out for a horribly averagely dressed dweeb blending into a wall somewhere, sobbing quietly. ;)

ah, the standard 'I have a life and don't care yet I wrote a paragraph anyway...'

    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  2. A lot of people say 1930 is one of Merzbow's best but there are at least 3 discs from the Merzbox that I like more.

    :)

1930 was my first real exposure to Merzbow, so it has more of a nostalgic feel than the others. That, and I frequently used to fall asleep while listening to it, so I think it has burrowed a permanent spot in my head. My (other) top 3 from Merzbow are probably Venereology, Rainbow Electronics, and Tauromachine. Though it all sounds the same, right? ;)

On Oval, I don't think I have disliked anything Popp has output. Maybe Dok...

  3. Glad someone said it. Shit is being hyped. Although there is some good stuff coming through a lot of members are speaking as if it never took a dip.

I don't get the second sentence... Nobody talked about Lanvin before because a lot of it was licensed shit, same with YSL before Hedi & Tom (and now Pilati), or Christian Dior before Hedi. Seems self explanatory to me.

  4. Or you could just slim the sleeve opening so that it sits better around the wrist, had that done to my M65 which has similar button stuff going on around that area.

... The sleeve is too long. Stacking the sleeve will just look dumb.

  5. you're right. also the nature of raf's cuts so i didn't even mention the shoulders, but even still shit looks a size too big. regarding the sleeves, fuuma had his lanvin jackets tailored and just removed the bottom button and it looks splendid. but then again i believe raf jackets come with 3 buttons already.

Depends on how the buttons are finished. If they rest on an basted (unfinished) sleeve, you can just remove/move them around, and bring the sleeve up as necessary. IIRC, raf's sleeves are finished with buttonholes, so that really isn't an option. In that case, you get at most 1/2" of space to chop before the buttons look stupid.

  6. i'd never post a fit in this thread but i'm kind of out of it right now and this guy decided to list his cartier watch.

    get rid of hoodie

    unbutton a button

    get shit tailored

    tuck jeanzzzzz

    yeah?

That particular raf jacket is more or less unalterable... First, the sleeves are finished with working buttonholes, so a tailor would need to pull the sleeves up at the shoulder, which will ruin the horizontal line (the whole purpose of the design) created by the contrasted material. The other, more shitty option, is to tailor the sleeves at the opening, which might be doable from a construction standpoint (depending if the buttholes are angled), but is realistically unmanageable because at a good length the buttons will end up at the sleeve edge. Kind of a wasted exercise, no?

Nigs need to consider these things before buying shit.
