Agreed that it's a bit concerning about the glass issue. I do wonder whether these "bumper" cases will have any effect on the glass considering the point in that article about the previous glass being recessed with a bezel. Seems like the bumper cases do something similar.
I guess we'll see.

^ EG shirt is nice. Like the color.
Special thanks to Sam & Mikey @ Tanner Goods for bringing this down to me this weekend. Pretty excited to check out Meet Your Maker via Durable Goods Concern here in SF.

Nah, it's not a mini iPad. The iPad is a 600% iPhone. Bearbrick concept.
And according to the keynote yesterday: anybody who's contract expires ANYTIME in 2010 is eligible for this thing when it drops.

Must spread Brane but that is brilliant. Loved the process and the outcome. Would love to be the proud owner of both the process and a watch like that.

^ I will admit, the bolt, as cheesy or cute as it may be, really makes me want the watch even more.

Lowrider: That is one beautiful collection sir. Must spread rep.
Went into Torneau yesterday and finally pulled a Milgaus out of the case. Not sure if I can tastefully pull of 41mm. Apparently the new Explorer that will be coming out soon will be avail in a 39mm case. Could be the perfect combo.
Sorry for the cell phone cam shot, but this is the Air King on the new leather. I think I'll probably grab a Rolex clasp online to put on it just to round it out.

last one is classy
Indeed, really liking the typeface used for the "Automatic" and the Seiko serif beneath it is always a classy touch.
Put my Rolex Air King on leather...really enjoying it for summer. I'll post pics when I get ahold of a decent camera.

As a designer, if I knew you were throwing my work all over you room like shit, I'd make sure you never picked up another piece from me again. No respect kids.

Whoa...formatting looks remarkably close to Inventory Magazine's new online layout. Scary close. Coincidence?

I love Tsovet's aesthetics. But the more I've gotten into watches, the less excited I've gotten about paying $500+ for a watch with a quartz movement. While theres nothing wrong with quartz, the movements are generally very cheap and therefor shouldn't drive the cost of a watch to that price point.
On that note, Lum Tec makes some really nice automatic watches that are VERY similar to what Tsovet is doing and at almost the exact same price points.

anyone selling or know where i can get a seiko snx425 or 427? seem to have missed the boat on those.
You can usually find a few floating around ebay. Sometimes you'll pay a shipping premium as many come straight from Japan. Have yet to run into any authenticity problems but you will forfeit the ability to take it to a Seiko dealer and have it worked on under any kind of warranty. Then again...I've also never heard of anybody having real problems with their Seiko...

Didn't read that they were Shwoods. I've got a pair of the same model in Zebra Wood. But the Indian Rosewood looks real nice.

Sorry for the filthy mirror. Cleaning it is actually impossible.

Usual shit. Some JCrew/Sperry and a beer in need of a refill from the office keg.
*Audiophiles of SuFu please excuse the Beats. The gf's dad is the designer and they came with the relationship. No, for all of you who will undoubtedly ask or try to make some sort of joke, her dad is not Dre.

its a seiko you've never heard of seiko? and yes its a quality investment for what you pay
First, don't do that. I understand you know your shit about watches but there's no need to pop off on this kid.
Second, I'm pretty sure he was looking for more information on Andrew's blog post about the Stowa rather than the Seiko he posted here.
In that regard, much more information can be found about Stowa via Andrew's link to the Stowa website. Like he said, Stowa makes a great timepiece and that sapphire crystal case back really puts that watch over the top.
