  1. haha, yeah i'm typing on a mac as well. anyhow, the jacket fits and looks great.

yeah, it's a real disappointment to see almost everything's made in china that rrl sells.

have you ever seen post o'alls workwear? i've got a couple of their old workshirts and chore jackets that have in nyc on the label. back in the day takeshi was making his stuff in brooklyn but these days i hear he's in jersey.

  2. beautiful jacket roy6! what size did you end of getting? i tried on a size large today and was quite impressed with the quality. the only bummer was the made in portugal label. i would happily pay a little more for a levi's made in usa jacket.

  3. SLAB, that Aero fits you perfect, congrats. in your chest size it's still possible to come across nice originals for almost as much or less than a repro.

i'm about 36" in the chest and amanda suggested I get size 38. I happened to come across a second hand Aero in that size and got that. Fit is tight and short but it's what i wanted.
  4. Corey, really great comparison photos! Nothing like good honest dirty wear.

Some wear photos of my AB's. Anyone have any luck getting a hold of Rising Sun?? I know they moved but I have been calling the new number and no one ever answers. Really wanted to pick up one of the new vest whenever they are complete. Maybe they are closed until the new shop gets set up???????
  5. Holy shit almost, that M-422a is amazing! They just don't make goatskin like that any more. Keep drinking and enjoy.

In a sober constitution i would've never bought this.thank God i was still pissed when ordering this jacket from Aeroleather. i am so glad i did.
  6. Here's a 1940's chore jacket with a simple four button front with two front pockets and stand collar construction. The war time laurel wreath buttons are lightly rusted and have a cool patina. The ring spun denim has beautiful fades from years of wear and some interesting loom chatter.

  7. Cheers, They fit very much like the war time Lee's with a high rise and full cut in the legs. They're marked sz. 34 waist but actually measure 36 inches even after several cold water only washes.

  8. Modern work shirts that are supposed to emulate vintage work shirts look really odd with short tails IMHO. Here's a couple photos of a late 40's/50's USN chambray shirt. Check out the sailor's name stenciled on the long back tails and the selvage gussets.

  9. Yes, they look like Edwin Lee's but it's difficult to confirm since they don't show the details like rivets, leather tags and zips. If they are Edwin Lee's they run about a size larger. For example my 30's 101B's are labeled a 32 waist but fit more like a 35 before washing. Also, they're sanforized so shrinkage is minimal.

Cultizm recently added a 1952 101Z and 1936 101B to their Lee line. Are these made by Edwin? Any idea how they fit? Is the waist true to size, or larger?
