Fortunately, I was able to get them for $12, so they are now set to be worn as a part of a wigger costume for halloween, and then donated to goodwill immediately thereafter.
Grow the fuck up.

Dude, I totally forgot to sign the jeans!!!!
Did you get the other goodies in the back pocket? I was going to include some "Americana" type cards (think baseball cards), but I bought a couple packs and the shit was a joke.

Those jeans will be a lot cheaper in the store rather than from Japan. I think the jeans are in the $279 range.

I am still looking for the 213 denim jacket. I have one that fits raw, but I am positive it will shrink way too much for me. Anyone know if this jacket is being re-released. Or does anyone have a somewhat unworn one they want to sell in like a size 40.

entertainment!- the end date is January 2nd, 2012. PaulT just wrote the date backwwards, as the Brits so often do. No wonder they lost the empire. Of course, in the USA we write the date properly, and still...
I washed the roys this past weekend, broke down and gave them a machine wash on warm delicate cycle, since the bathtub/hand soak wasn't really getting them clean lately.
But:
No! Am I headed for a blowout? There are five spots where I can see my finger through the denim. Should I have this reenforced now?
Are you sure that is your finger you are seeing through the denim?

Eltopo - you & Mike look great! The photos are out off this world!
Rnrswitch - you really did a wonderful job on the collar! Did your jacket shrink a lot? My finger has been hovering over the "buy" button, but I'm torn between the S & XS...
Shubha - thanks for posting your ducks - superb!
Haven't washed it yet, but I kinda wished I had rolled with a medium to get a roomier fit.
Thanks for all the compliments folks. The rounded collar really does make it more wearable. The collar was the only thing that I really didn't like.

Pointer collar looks good rnr, and congratulations on keeping your Roys crisp and new looking.............
Haha. Proper pics coming on the progress.

The roys and I did a little pointer chore coat collar altering today.
The process is typically, start with a beer. This night it was stella, but it is usually some newcastle or firestone.
This be what it starts out looking. It was a bit big for my taste.
Start ripping the seams. Good thing this is a chainstitch, because once the thread is busted in one spot the whole seam unravels. A lock stitch is much worse to rip apart.
This is the collar after it has been removed and all the thread pulled from it. i need to cut it in half to do what I need to do with it.
I shaped the collar and pinned the two halves together and am beginning to sew them together.
Turning the collar. Basically folding it so the open seams are on the inside.
Ironing it flat and getting it prepped to be sewn around the edge.
Sewing around the edge of the collar.
Pinning the collar to the collar stand.
Sewing it on. Not too hard, but you need to watch out and make sure that when sewing it on the stitch holds both sides of the collar stand and the collar together. Many times the top portion of the collar stand will be sewn to the collar, but the back side of the stand will attached to the collar. I think I am giving it a bit of a dirty look. A part of the jacket got caught on the corner of the cabinet causing it to tug at the stitch.
More in a few seconds.

We'll see how long it takes to fix the collar this weekend and if it ain't too long, then I will do it for some folks if needed.
I ain't gonna go through and fell everybody's seams though. That would just take too long.

I'll take some photos. I think I will do the collar this weekend and maybe the seams the weekend after. I am pretty busy this next week, but hopefully I can make it happen.

I like the pointer jacket, but I have come accustomed to felled seams along the side seam and around the shoulder. A single seam there feels flimsy although it may not be. I think I will fell the seams and then bring the collar in a bit and round it off this weekend.

And some hardware for rnr, since he's behaving (comparatively) so well:
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitt. I love it.

Man, the more I look at those thick white crepe soles the more I can't stand them.

Bigger is better bros. Bigger number = better denim.

I would blow you too dkatz, but you are probably already spent from all the blowing already and need a little rest to reload.
Good work though. Any chance of some hardware macro pics? It looks like the black is starting to wear away on the top button.

I actually wear my URCC shirt about twice a week. I get a lot of people wondering what it is and when I tell them they think it is a vintage t-shirt from like the 60s.

I would make it a little smaller. Maybe round off the points.

New Duck. Size small. For reference 168 lbs. 6'
Fits a little more like a shirt-jac instead of "coat", per se. Will be great when broken-in.
Just got mine as well. Love it. I will definitely be tailoring the collar down a bit.

I love the shirt. what's the price and could you post some detail shots of the fabric?
Also, how funny is it that these goods are more "Made in America" than a standard 501 STF jean?

Great looking jeans there Graytrain. What do you put in your rear right pocket? Or do these have a pocket lining?
