I was told that the only place in the states to buy these jeans is in the levi's store. I am pretty sure that all of the jeans in these stores are not manufactured in the SF factory. The SF factory was closed down in 2003 i believe. You could always check the buttons on the jeans to find where they were made. The quality may very, but you are still going to get a great pair of jeans.

I am feeling Kanye big time these days. I got his new album on right now. Politically, Socially, and most of all mentally conscious. His production quality is superb without sounding overproduced. I hear what y'all are talking about with eminem. I used to hate that fool. I saw him as a thief and a perp. But lately I've been respecting him a lot more. Mosh was great. For someone of his caliber to straight call out Bush is beyond belief. Most white folk shy away from confronting power in fear of losing cash. black folk do it also, but to a smaller extent. If a black cat says the shit eminem said in mosh they get marginalized and it never reaches the masses, but when eminem does it... it gets through.

Kanye also highlights hip hop artists that have smaller names, like mos def and talib. I used to be of the mentality that underground needs to stay underground, but to hell with that. we trying to change this world. We tryin to put out positive and strong images, but most of all true images of minorities, not the charicatures magnified on MTV and the radio. Hip Hop is comin back!!!!!!!!!

The Carhart work clothes is very durable. The painter pants have lasted forever and the jacket i have has lasted for two winters. I wouldn't know about the shirts or beanies. i have a khaki colored hat that has also lasted two winters. I am a construction worker and i would swear by the carhart pants and jackets.

Don't knock it, but seriously, I have tried some shit to my jeans and have never been able to achieve a good look other than just wearing them. At work i will rub grease on the jeans, but with a good pair of denim that will wash out. So without attempting to be a dick, i would suggest what witts says and just wear them in... hard. Do everything in them.

When I purchased my sugarcanes (1947 brand) I was told to buy them with my true waist size on the tag. The representative told me that when i receive them in the mail (I mailordered them) they will fit large and shrink down 2 inches in the waist and 3-4inches in the length to the size marked on the tag. I haven't recieved them in the mail yet, but when i do i plan on soaking them in cool water inside out for about an hour and then hang drying them inside out to achieve maximum shrinkage and minimum color loss. I will get back to y'all with my experience once i actually do this.
