  1. That stitching can be taken off. I saw some pictures on mynudies.com. They looked pretty cool. I personally used to not like the pocket stitching (more a fan of the levis simple logo), but i have grown to like the stitching since i got the bootcut ola and rr dry.

  2. Yo selegna I already rock that same setup when i wear shorts, which is not very often, but nevertheless the huarachis and socks look is a hard sell on the fashion blogs.

Also, screw Supreme and all other companies that steal from other cultures to reap a profit. They should start having prints on their t-shirts of Wall St. investors. Maybe that would suit them better. Supreme is the supreme biter. The same as white kids from suburbia trying to claim gangsta.

  3. I am still wondering whether or not supreme gives proceeds from the movements they endorse on their shirts (ie zapatistas, etc). If not that's theft, if so more power to them. On the other hand i have seen a lot of the supreme t-shirts and think they are rather tacky looking, but that is just not my style and hence biased.

  4. The backpocket is not the only difference on the stitching. The LVCs have a much deeper goldish stitching on almost all of the jeans. The Canes seem to alter between a deep gold to a lighter yellow/gold stitching around the cuffs, backpocket, front pocket, inner leg, and maybe some other parts. The great thing about the canes is that they are a heavier denim. I think 14 oz for canes, compared to 13 oz for LVC. It's a close choice for me, but i would go for the canes i believe. It seems easier to get the canes these days than the LVC.

  5. Quote: I bought the 1947's from History Preservation. They are very nice people but the guy convinced me to get 31. Haha, i was planning on ordering 29's. I think I'm too easily convinced.

I had the same problem. When i ordered my first pair of canes from histpres i got talked in to buying a 31 also. I told the guy that my true waist size is about 32, but that in all levis (repros, stfs, etc) i wear about a 30 or 31. Well he convinced me and i shrunk them down by doing cold water soak and they were still too big. I like my jeans to fit snug and these were rather baggy. Anyways i ordered a new pair of 30s and they worked just fine. I now use the 31s for work. My advice is if you want the more fitted look, then go for the size you usually wear in jeans, if you want them to have a baggy look to them order them a size up. A lot of time for the smaller people (under a size 31) they will talk you into a 31 because they only carry 31s and up, but they will special order the smaller sizes for you and it only takes a couple of weeks. Otherwise the guy at history pres is very cool and helpful. The lady on the other hand... not so cool.

  6. I am not saying much, but every pair of 501 stfs i have all have the XX on the label. These range from early nineties 501s to 2004 501s. Every pair of 501s I have that were prewashed don't have the XX on them. This goes for some pairs of the Levis Premium label jeans. I personally have never seen a pair of levis that wasn't stf that had the XX on them, but i also haven't worn many other levis other than the stf.

  7. They are about a 11.5" rise. They are worn around the waist. About an 1.5 inches to 2 inches below the belly button. you can buy them big and wear them around your hips. If you are going to buy these jeans buy a 29. they should fit you well. If they shrink too much they will always stretch out. But once again you can control the amount of shrinkage buy trying them on when you get them and washing accordingly. Cold water soak for little shrinkage to a Hot water wash for more shrinkage. Hang Dry.

  8. The newer STFs lose a lot of their color after a wash. I would recommend (if you must shrink them) to do the soak in cold water with a hang dry. this will lose the least amount of color. The jeans won't be too stiff any more so if you want the stiff rigid feel I would recommend buying some clothing starch and spraying the jeans with it.

  9. I would say look for some pictures of people wearing denim and try to find pictures of denim that fit the way you would want them to fit. Then maybe post that picture on one of these forums and one of the knowledgables would point you the right way.

  10. I have the nudies bootcut ola which is a fairly lightweight denim. It comes in the dry blue, but is soft and comfortable. I believe they also have the loose frank, which is a 11.5oz denim (I believe), which is the same denim as the bootcut ola. The ola has a pretty narrow fit, but I am sure if you bought one size up it would fit a little baggy.
