I have two pairs of those jeans. One is quite baggy the other fits more snug. I use the baggy pair for work (construction) and the other for partying. If you are a size 29 in most jeans I would buy a size 29 in these jeans. they will seem big when you first get them, but they should, after a hard wash, shrink to a 29. If you don't plan on ever hard washing them then you should buy a size 28, because after a soak and hang dry the jeans should shrink to a 29. You should order them through history preservation if you are in the US. They will have to order your size 29s, but that should only take a couple of weeks. Order them soon, though, cuz i hear the prices are suppose to go up!

I have a pair that were tagged 31x34. The measure when i got the canes was 9 inches. After i washed them they measured 8.5 inches. The wash was not a hard wash, but rather a soak in cool water with a hang dry.

I do that too, but if i already know the band and i am anticipating the albums release i will just buy the record.

If you are wondering whether or not to splurge on some nice denim you should go for the good stuff. Get either nudies, Levis LVC 1947, sugarcanes, etc. If you were already thinking of 501 STF i would go for the LVC levis. If you can't find those then get the sugarcanes. You might be spending $180, but in 6 months to a year you will have a nice looking pair of jeans, whereas if you bought the normal 501 STFs the jeans will be too soft and thin with a light blue color and no contrast.

I don't think hating trends necessarilly means we are breaking away from the norms that society dictates. Our society is a capitalist society, so at the very least they want us to consume. being different would be to stop buying so much clothes. Yep, that means no more nike dunks, levis LVC, supreme t-shirts, etc, etc. I think selegna said it best when he said we are all a bunch of assholes. I would only add that we are all a bunch of pretentious assholes. Too cool for school, but trying not to be. right?

I buy albums (LPs) all the time. I only buy the CD if it doesn't come out on vinyl. MTV is shit, but it for the most part always has. It is just that now they realize who their crowd is. Preteens and teens.. hence all the big crap.

Try ebay. I have seen two pairs go for 30 dollars before. You may have to wait for a good size.

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with getting mail from other countries to the US. I live in the US and have had two packages go missing from canada. I wanted to order some nudies from sweden and am kinda sketched on the shipping. I don't know if since sept 11 they have tightened up packages coming in. Lend some feedback please.

I ordered one size up last time, which was a 31 and it fits baggy, so this time i ordered my true size a 30. It is true that the label is the size it will shrink to, atleast that is my experience. You also have to remember that the first wash does not shrink the item completely if you are just soaking the denim in cool water and then hang drying them. A hard wash with hot water and a dryer will shrink the garment totally. I am sad to say this, but i like my sugarcanes better than my LVC 1947s. I think i am going to wear my baggy pair of sc1947s to work (i work construction) and just wear the hell out of them. Hopefully i can go a couple months without washing them!

I have a pair of the 1947 repros and they are great. I have just ordered another pair that are just a little bit smaller in the waist. Order through history preservation, but if you are smaller than a size 31 then it may take some time, because they don't carry small sizes, but they will order them for you.

I kinda like the back pocket shape and design though.

Revolutionary or not he represents a return to normalcy for hip hop where how many times you got shot or how much weight you were moving has nothing to do with how "real" you are. Unfortunately, Saigon, dead prez, immortal technique, paris, etc. will not get much air play in todays mainstream hip hop scene. I am not saying that Kanye is more conscious than these cats, but he does have enough influence to bend the mainstream hip hop scene far enough his way so that those types of cats can get some more exposure. He has also had the power to bring about a discussion in america about race politics. Kanye saying that bush doesn't care about black folk, caused people to look at race in america opening many eyes to the oppressed. I don't think much of that discussion about the race politics of Katrina would have been had if it was not for Kanye's comments. Best rapper alive? Definitely not. Most conscious? Definitely not. Is he a breath of fresh air? Hell yeah.

Also, I bet all the folks on this forum who are sweatin Kanye and his abilities would be down with him if he chose to be underground and not sign to rocafella.

Also I love paris, immortal, et al, but i think they are preachin to the choir in their shows.
