Is the cropped APC trench any different from the one from last year? What colors did Barney's have?

i absolutely love this.
it's gorgeous.
Thank you.

Christ, how long did that take? I dig that a lot.
It took about 4 - 5 hours. I have to get my wrist retouched, which my artist warned me I might, but I've been so busy with work I haven't had the chance to

i called both locations and they said they were sold out of the 46 and 48.
Do you know if the size 50 was still avaiable in the Prussian coat? I get paid this Friday and may consider heading down their to check the coat in person/purchase it.

we are talking about this right?

Yes, they're actually mens loafers. If I'm consider purchasing a pair of white and gold boat shoes, I don't see what could be so shocking about rocking leopard print mocs. I own a pair of beast pack Air Max 1 in the same kind of leopard, I'm just looking for a sophisticated version for when I'm not wearing sneakers.

oh, i didn't realize you were shopping for your girlfriend
I always find it funny when people on this website call in to questions what's justifiably "male" on a message board dedicated to shopping...

I like everyone else have fallen in love with the Lanvin socks for S/S. I think these American Apparel socks are the better alternative than those lace womens ones someone posted before

I would definitely agree. I think the only thing that was worth it, were the sneakers but only because not only did they not really last till sale time but they are more of a one of kind look. A lot of the lace ups and boat shoes can be duplicated I think or at least, you could maybe find something that looked similar.
Being a size 12/45 makes me feel as if I should locate them and wait it out to they eventually go on sale
If not I may just opt to cop these YSL mocs instead:

But you ask yourself that question for any designer clothing designer. Designer clothing is always marked up, whether it be from D&G or Lanvin and it's done so simply because of the fact it's 'designer'. But I would say you do get a lot of quality with Lanvin. The only bad thing about the brand is that some of the clothing can feel to 'dainty' or fragile, but that's mostly just me.
I know, but some things are more reasonable in my eyes when it comes to designer mark up versus production. If the shoes were $500 - $700 I'd be ready to drop the cash, but $900 is excessive even for luxury goods in my opinion.

The sneakers are made in the same factory as Margiela, Raf Simons, and Common Projects.
This, however, has nothing to do with pricing for Lanvin. Lanvin is marketed as being a very high end designer apparel and footwear company.
I wasn't speaking of the sneakers though. I'm sure the shoes are produced the same way the sneakers and suits are. I was just curious as to who makes them as a measure of would the design/hype/label warrant the premium I'd be paying on top of the price for quality. Never the less, I'm hoping a NYC stockist gets them so I can atleast try them on to way the options in person.

Does anyone know who makes Lanvin's shoes? I'm curious what shoes made by the company who makes their shoes would cost in comparison to Lanvin's shoes.

I thought I heard that the boat shoes are going to be around 900.
Ouch. I was really looking to swoop those up, but I'm not sure if they warrant a $900 price tag. I guess I've got time to think about it or save. I'm sure they're quality, but for that price I could probably have a bespoke shoe.

I'm dying to own these. Has anyone heard any word on the pricing of the shoes from the collection?

I thought Stacy's show was alright. I still prefer WNTW. Also they do sometimes make over attractive women; those are always my favorite shows. Could you imagine that being your wife or girl and she comes home looking fly? It's like trading up without having to put the work in finding something new.

no one is going to convince me to buy silk.
not today at least. and if someone does it's going to be eric glennie.
Silk is a really tough fiber. It much so depends on what type of fabric you weave it into. Also, silk fabrics aren't always shiny either...

That photo is from men.style.com in the close up shots of the collection.

I've actually been a big fan of the show for years. I think Stacy's gray streak is hot. Anyway, this doesn't seem like the type of show to appeal the average SuFu member though.

Thanks for the report guys. I figured the sales would be as such. Back to be sick...

Anyone have a report of the BoO and Common Project sale? I was too sick to go to work and wasn't going to kill myself for a sale either, so how was it? Maybe I'll hit it up tomorrow if it's worthwhile

Parsons:
Narciso Rodriguez
Badgley & mishka
Ben Cho (didn't graduate/dropped out)
Peter Som
Proenza Schouler
Derak Lam
Alexander Wang (funny but I know him. we went to school together and he dropped out)
Behnaz Sarafpour
Zac Posen didn't go to Parsons. He did a summer program and supposedly studied at Central Saint Martins. And Donna Karen failed out of Parsons (she failed sewing/pattern making).
RISD:
Nicole Miller
Robert Geller
FIT:
Michael Kors
Calvin Klein
The big names that come out of these schools really mean nothing. The industry is made up of all sorts of graduates and going to one of the top schools will not make you into a superstar. Money and connections do that, having talent can helps too.
Also, I believe Hedi has a degree in Costume History

Gold shoe polish obviously.
Woly makes some.
Thanks, I was wondering if anyone produced gold polish. I know gold shoes are nothing new (well, in womens wear atleast), so I'd imagine someone would have produced some gold shoe polish. I see it sold in the UK I wonder if I'll have to resort to an ebay purchase. Does anyone know of a location in NYC that possibly stocks this?

OK, so I own a pair of metallic gold wingtips which I wore out on a night of dinner and partying. When I took them off when I got home I noticed I had acquired a minor scuff/scratch/knick on the toe (between 1/16 and 1/8 big). Under normal conditions such a minor scuff would either A. not be noticeable on black or brown leather or B. easily covered with a bit of polishing. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can possibly do to cover it? I know I'm just being really anal, but it really bothers me to know such a imperfection exist on my shoe. Thanks.

Delete some PMs maign.
"Code: JT = 15% off
For 30% off you have to be a first time member. You order, then call them and ask for the discount and they'll apply it. If they have shipped to your address before, however, they won't give it to you. You'll have to create a new account and have the shit shipped to a friends I suppose."
What's the code for Active? Do you do the samething you do with Revolve? Also do they count this toward full price merchandise only? Thanks.

So, I stopped in Barney's yesterday to inquire about the S/S 08 shoes, specifically the boat shoes I've been fiending for. So, they should along with the rest of the shoes/sneakers be delivered by March. The copper toe mesh and taffeta high tops will be $635 or something and the boat shoes will be $965... Definitely looks like I'm going to see if I can hold for them to go on sale eventually.
