  1. Hey guys. I was a bit bored the other day and did this ridiculous repair. I would rather make a whole pair than do repairs, they are a pain indeed, haha. My only regret is I should have kept the new bit raw, I sanded it back a bit to try and make it blend into the old denim. Sanded denim does look shite, it will wash in eventually.

  2. Here's some random stuff people give me, I had a bunch of geeky books but I lost them. The Cone Mills wallet is about 4-5 years old, still going strong and have never washed it, haha. The Levi's chilly is ace, but no lid, damn. A buddy is one of those crazy garage sale, hoarder guys and he always looks out for stuff.

  3. Nice one Ukeno! They are hanging in there. My Caribou's have just gone 1 year and 3 three months with a whopping 23 washes, haha. Have just repaired the first hole. I always get the first hole in the same place, the 'Cross Leg" whisker hole. Patched it with some lighter blue 100% cotton with fusing on the back.

  4. Hi guys. With the new SR6 I always had the option for plain or poncho cloth facings and originally I had the back pockets blank....I have had quite a few people asking for the option for the Wings stitching though, sooooo I changed it so you can just choose whatever for this lot!

Cool, hope everyone is doing good. Loving seeing some good worn out pairs coming through.

  5. Ande, have you ever used left hand twill denim? Would you consider it for a Special Roll? I think it would fit in well with your current Lee-esque styling and I'd definitely be interested,

Hi Maynard. They don't have any lefty in the current line up, I will definitely get some if they do in the future.

  6. Haha, sure was Maynard, it was busy too. Good coffee.

I completely forgot to check out the Iron Hearts when I was there, to chatting going on. I did get to check out all the sweet boots Hemi has been making, dark browns, rough outs, amazing stuff. I have some black ones, been meaning to post pic's, will do soon. Just breaking them in.

  7. Hi guys. Was great to get up to Wellington for the weekend and meet Hemi and see the store. Hemi and the lads treated me very well. Wellington is a very cool city indeed. Went out for a drive around the bays, saw Ian McKellen walking down the street in Karaka bay I think it was, quite funny. My associate told me to stop pissing around and smile properly for the picture, a bit over the top. Shelly Bay with Wellington city in the background.

  8. I don't have Sky Sports either Ande but I've been listening all day on BBC Test Match Special. I think you can pick up World Service and tune in. Anyway, looking forward to your new offerings.

I just saw on the sports news we went into our usual collapse..uggghhh. Terrible score.

  9. Haha, hey Maynard. Haven't been watching the Cricket, I don't have Sky TV damn it.

Yes indeed, there is a new Special Roll on the way. It's a crazy looking denim. The Wolf is a type 2 inspired jacket, pleat front. probably another 3-4 weeks away yet though, just finalizing the pattern and sample, then grade the sizes.

  10. Hello fellas. I will do Hemi, I have been super slack!

So after the bad luck with that big ginger cat I got from the pound, he jumped out the top story window and took off, poor we dude. I waited for a while because he had one of those computer chips, but no luck in finding him. He was just to feral. Anyways I got a new addition to the AW team. Here's Jeff helping me out with morning e-mails. He's one of those bengal cats, bit of a lunatic. He's a nice fellow when he's asleep.

  11. I saw my brother the other day and he was wearing his old Cone Mills Miners, they looked quite baggy in the seat. The initial patterns were very much a vintage cut, not much seat curve etc, then I added more curve when I tweaked the patterns about 7 months ago.

The legs are cut as a straight fit, all the patterns have a 1/2" taper, which is how legs taper to the ankle from the thigh. Funny thing, if you cut the leg openings at the exact same width as the knee, the jeans will look slightly bootcut. I think Nudie has a cut called Straight/Bootcut, which is what they would have done there. If you add actual bootcut over say 1/2" bigger than the knee they start looking very flary?!

Museum hotel is really nice Maynard. I stayed there when I went up see ACDC, last minute expensive booking. Loads of biker dudes rolled up and they were obviously slack like me in pre-booking :)

  12. Hi Hog. All the jeans are made when an order is placed, so yeah there is only a small amount left on the roll.

Maynard. Cool man. Wellington is a great city indeed. Hope you enjoyed your stay. My friends wife was working on the Hobbit in the costume dept. Yeah Marlborough sounds in sweet, I'm originally from Nelson so have spent alot of time up that way.

Thanks LFC! Top man. Is that Liverpool Football club forever? I had a great couple of days in Liverpool a few years ago, coool city.

  13. Hi Hog. Yeah I can't remember now, I didn't wear the old Miners that often. When I re-cut the patterns I tried to get them very similar to the old cuts, I had the size charts on the website still. So yeah I am thinking they were quite similar.

Thats a bummer we didn't get to meet up Maynard, no one comes to ChCh, even more so now, but it's getting better. We just got the airport all fitted out! Thats a plus. The real estate situation isn't very good. I want to lease a bigger workshop as I am running out of room, sewing machines take up loads of space.

  14. Hello fellas. I have a pair of sized up Buffalo's, double cuffed in that natural indigo denim, SR can't remember. They are my comfortable chill out jeans :). I hope to get in new denim for SR5 soon, got my eye on something.

  15. Hi Noodle, cool, I will get back to you via PM soon.

I seem to have had a few e-mails not getting through for some reason, not sure why, internet companies seem to change settings etc maybe. Anyway, I have been checking through the latest e-mails to make sure, if you haven't heard from me, e-mail me back and I will get to the bottom of it. All orders are are on the way though! Coooool.
