  1. I just wanted to share some images of the first clothes from my own line, Leon.

    While these are not part of a specific collection, these were the first items created under the line. They were for The Nouveau Classical Project, a collaboration between classical musicians, fashion designers and artists. Fashion designers were given a specific piece of chamber music to use as inspiration, in turn, they design clothes for the musicians to wear during the performance. (artists were given the same thing, so each performance had a designer and an artist)

    I was given a trio of male musicians, the piece I was given was Brahms Piano Trio Op. 87 C Major I.

    While these are not all the pieces from the show, these were the main ones. I have to apologize though, I left my camera with good images from the show with a friend, however we are planning to shoot a book for the show, so I will post some pics of the clothes on the musicians.

  2. ^^ yeah, about $200. the jean sizes come in 46, 48, 50, etc... im guessing a 48 is around a 31 waist.

    46 = 29/30

    48 = 31/32

    50 = 33/34

    The cut on these jeans are pretty slim, I think the leg opening is about 17cm.

  3. bumping to see if anyone has seen the trench in person and can comment on the quality/fit. anyone know of a stockist carrying it in a 44?

    ETA looking for the trench in grey, not beige.

    fabrication of the trench is a bit dry compared to traditional trenches. Fit isn't as slim as jackets (in general, jackets are cut slimmer especially in the arms while coats are cut a bit more generous).

    It's pretty impossible to find smaller sizes in the states, you'll have to hunt for them in japan.

  4. first: pics of the jacket without the belt?

    second: pics of just the jacket without the vest?

    k plz cmon gaiz

    2nd pic is a different jacket completely. It's a synthetic silk blend with leather trim windbreaker type jacket and has a matching vest. They're sold seperately but are styled together on the runway.

  5. ^ i'm thinking shoulder pads will get a comeback...possibly acid wash jeans...

    i dunno how it's like in other cities, but in ny you cant really tell the difference between a gothninja and a fashionista who happens to be wearing all black...everyone in ny dresses in all black all the time.

    True goth ninjas practice the art of invisibility. I flow with the sea of bankers, but strike with my CCP nail jewelery when necessary.

  6. everytime i click into this thread i hear this.

    damn just gave me a flashback of taping down the button, listening for the clicks and swaping to play cdrs/japanese games.

  7. thats a pretty legit saturn set up

    only got nights and panzer for mine

    Yeah man, my saturn set up was pretty crazy mainly cause my uncle worked at Sega..so growing up I was always team sega. For me though it was all about this

    policenauts-f.jpg

    I had to gamefaq most of it cause obviously I don't read japanese..but man..konami needs to make shit like this again.

  8. Yup, I heard the same thing. I think there's an interview of Hedi where he's quoted in it for saying that.

    He says it in his diet book specifically. He also said weightloss should be purely superficial to make it fun and a bit torturous to keep you in check.

  9. still interested in a cotton pant. few questions: 1) does it stretch when you wear it or not (i mean, not like long term stretching on jean but... you see what i mean) ? 2) will it be too hot for summer (honestly) ? because I sweat like crazy in jeans, and if it is cashmere, maybe i'll sweat too and would need something more lightweight.

    The pants are wool cash. Def too hot to wear in the summer. They're a bit beefy. Not sure about it stretching, but I don't see how it really would based on the material. Hope this helps.

    As some of you may or may not have heard, I am apart of an exciting show that is coming up in about a month. It blends art and fashion with classical music and creating a unique visual and audible experience.

    Artists and Designers are given a classical music piece to draw inspiration from, creating art and clothing which will be shown and worn during the performance of the piece.

    I wanted to invite everyone to come be apart of this very exciting show, as it is also the premiere of my own clothing designs under my label, Leon!

    The show will be taking place on April 11th here in New York City. While I completely understand that many of you do not live in New York City, I thought I would give an advance notice on the event and date in case any of you would like to make the trip and can plan accordingly. I already have a small handful of people flying in from around the country, so it's best to get everything in advance to grab some great deals on flights and accommodations! Seating to the event is extremely limited, so I would recommend buying show tickets before you book your flight/rooms.

    The Show:

    You can also make a contribution that gives you special benefits, such as an art book that's in the works about the project that is going to be filled with behind the scene photos of the artists and designers as well as profiles and great photos!

  14. Update:

    Most of you that order should have received or will be getting your pants in the next few days. Sorry I've been a little slow with the replies, it's probably faster if you email me directly.

    In any case, cactusarmy, your payment just cleared and will be shipped.

    I also got another order from someone but they didn't put what they ordered in the payment message, so I have no idea what to send, nor did they put in a username.

    So will Kim Hock Joshua Goh please PM me and let me know what you ordered?

    Rest of hte pants are still available.

  15. Well, I can only compare NYC to LA and I would definitely say NYC wins. The girls, like you said are pretty down to earth and not to mention they tend to dress well. It's actually quite hard in LA to find a chick who is dressed decent; They're either one extreme or the other.

    also I think another advantage NYC has over LA is weather. NYC colder weather allows for more options/layering/styles.
