  1. i'm also wondering if cyc is actually doing the fleece for s/s. usually they only do the f/w stuff but that motion hoodie looks a lot like a cyc hoodie (it looks like it has those stretch panels on each side under the arms) and the striped hoodie is listed as french terry cotton which cyc has been using heavily for their lighter weight wings & horns hoodies the last few s/s seasons. i hope that stuff is cyc because it'll be better construction than the usual made in china s/s fleece.

yeah it's definitely still cyc...a lot of the spring 09 fleece was cyc as well (classic hoodie, youth crew, etc)

  2. I thought so too but there's always more stuff than what gets shown in the preview, prolly come out later in the season as the weather warms up.

that used to be the case but as of last season they pretty much showed every single item for the entire season in the preview (w/the exception of like the l/s gingham button-ups and a hat or two), and it looks to be the same w/this season as well.

  3. weird that the leopard crew is cotton/poly blend.

yeah poly/cotton tees always feel kinda horrible. maybe they did 'em that way since standard issue military camo print tees are always done in poly/cotton blends and never 100% cotton it seems

  4. Depends on where/when you are talking about. In the early/mid 80's in NYC you HAD to wear Lees or you weren't doing it right. Wranglers? Jordache? Never that son.

ah true...i'm thinking early 80's elementary school in the midwest, where i only ever thought levi's were cool ha

  5. yeah the problem with the whole lee's thing was when/where i was growing up it was either jordache, levis or wranglers (in pretty much that order)

haha yeah, you and i are old enough to have lived through the prime time of that, and Lee's were a pretty beat option when it came down to it ha

  6. yeah the cords are always a highlight... the current ones run much slimmer than i expected. not really into the back pockets and cheapo SUP tag - the embossed washed leather from the previous design was much much nicer - but can't really complain

yeah love the cut on them, and i think all the detailing (patch, pockets, tag) is supposed to make them look like those old Lee jeans and cords, but you prob knew that :). but yeah i'd prefer classic 5-pocket styling in the end myself.

    and yeah Merry Christmas!

  7. kinda need to see it zipped up w/the hood up? seems like the arms are mad long like i suspected from the measurements. somehow i had figured you got the black one... anyone want to sell a black medium? :)

  8. in other news. i think rhythm got into my head and i'm worried the bomber doesn't fit me. it's a little long, esp in front. the jacket and vest are both dope though.

keep me in mind if you're thinking of selling :)

did you deal w/a guy named jeremy? i'd ordered a large olive fishtail for a friend and got sent a medium and he was very helpful w/getting that all sorted out for me.

    best of season for me:

-maroon suede front sweater: so sick

-'s' crewneck sweaters: love the fit

-field shirt: brushed canvas is awesome, got the green camo one

    -tan guide plaid

    -blue striped work shirt

-tartan plaids (someone sell me the red one in medium!)

-green camo and green lux twill camp caps

kinda wish they'd go back to a more smedium fit w/the shorter hems on the sz L button-ups like 2008 and prior tho...

oh and ready would disapprove of the 'value proposition,' but i think the suede boots are nice as well :D

  9. like the wool jackets of the past few seasons. a little smaller than tts.

the leather bomber measurements online make it look like it runs big, especially in sleeve length (really long) and chest width. if i just went off measurements, i'd order the medium for myself, and i usually always go w/large.

  10. when the fuck is the sale. i thought it's usually before xmas, no?

every year up until last year, the sale started sometime shortly after Christmas. last year, if i remember correctly, the sale started the first week of december, which was kinda crazy.

  11. anyway i don't think the sleeves will be a problem in sizing up for the suede front, esp with the ribbed cuffs. i have crazy short arms and it's well within a manageable situation....

btw i went maroon, really random since i just dug out an old marc jacobs shirt jacket in an almost identical color but it was just too steezy - what can i say?

nice one ready! hoping these drop on the web shop today or monday.

  12. haha... readytoignite seal of approval, accept no other!

it's alright, body is acrylic which i am opposed to in principle but i can see why they did it... still looks great though probably more like an early fall / moderate winter piece so i wish it had come out earlier. it has shitty outer pockets plus an inside pocket if you don't live in the NE and want to wear it as a sweater jacket.

sizing is smaller - i sized up in the context of the season as i did with the moroccan. also note that the maroon one is slightly lighter than i expected, more of a wine color. price is 178 btw which i think isn't too far off the peruvian iirc

i haven't been blown away too much this season compared to last f/w but this is a nice one... you know you want it!

another classic ready review, that's what i look forward to whenever i hit this thread ha. thought you would've liked this when i first saw it at the start of the season but you had said "some trends are better off dead" which threw me off haha, so hearing that you actually like it (?) now makes more sense. w/the suede i was actually expecting this thing to be 200+ so i'm stoked that it's 'only' 178. i had to size up w/the moroccan too... the body looks super small in the pics in the supreme catalog, but i'm always worried about sleeves being too long when i size up? did you go for the grey or the maroon? tough choice, but yeah i want one :)

  13. i so need a pair of the tan ones! how the hell did they sell out so fast on oipolloi?

how does the release of a new model usually occur in terms of stores? is this exclusive to oipolloi for a little while then released by other retailers after?

those were released earlier in the year on oi polloi and they probably just got a restock of a couple of the sizes recently.

they're probably pretty hard to get ahold of outside of oi polloi and japan, since they're made by a small japanese operation called Weaver Mocassin (not Clarks)
